JR East is set to unveil the highly anticipated TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY and Takanawa Gateway Station on March 27, 2025, marking a significant milestone for urban redevelopment in Tokyo.
The new urban area, officially developed by JR East, will offer seamless access directly from the Takanawa Gateway Station. On the day of its opening, the twin towers of THE LINKPILLAR1 will launch alongside the station's full operations, paving the way for an integrated urban experience.
With approximately 845,000 square meters of total floor area, TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY comprises two main structures. The North and South buildings, elevating 29 and 30 stories respectively, aim to create a central business district that will gather around 20,000 office workers by 2025 following the launch of its office floors.
The concept of the city highlights its role as a "Global Gateway," emphasizing a blend of business, culture, and innovation.
