The Summer Smash Festival 2025 is set to take over SeatGeek Stadium in Chicagoland from June 20 to June 22, featuring a powerhouse lineup of hip-hop’s biggest stars. Organized by Lyrical Lemonade and SPKRBX, this year’s event will be headlined by Don Toliver and Yeat on Friday, Future on Saturday, and Young Thug, marking his first performance since 2022, on Sunday.
“We are excited to present the seventh edition of the largest independent hip-hop festival in the world and can’t wait to show the fans what we’ve been working on,” said Berto Solorio, co-founder of Summer Smash and SPKRBX. Cole Bennett, co-founder of Lyrical Lemonade, added, “I feel lucky to be able to throw the party of the year with my best friends. May this be the best one yet. Lucky number seven.”
This year’s lineup boasts an impressive array of artists, including Chance The Rapper, G Herbo, Saba, and Famous Dex, alongside festival regulars such as Sexyy Red, Quavo, Sahbabii, Nav, Ski Mask the Slump God, Trippie Redd, NLE Choppa, Nettspend, and OsamaSon. First-time performers this year include Soulja Boy, 1900Rugrat, and Che.
Tickets for the festival have sparked significant interest, with a new batch of GA, VIP, and Platinum tickets set to go on sale on March 28 at 12:00 p.m. CT after the initial presale tickets sold out. Prices are expected to rise as the event date approaches, so fans are encouraged to act quickly to secure their spot.
The festival has become a staple in the hip-hop community, showcasing a mix of established names and emerging talent. This year’s event is particularly significant for Young Thug, who will perform live for the first time since his arrest in 2022. His last live performance was at South by Southwest in March of that year before he faced serious legal challenges.
Young Thug was arrested on RICO and gang charges in May 2022, which kept him incarcerated for over two years. He was released late last year as part of a plea deal that placed him on 15 years of probation. Despite these challenges, he managed to release his third studio album, "Business is Business," in 2023 while still behind bars.
As anticipation builds for the Summer Smash Festival, fans are eager to see their favorite artists take the stage. The festival will be divided into three stages, allowing for a diverse range of performances across the weekend.
The Friday lineup includes Trippie Redd, Ski Mask The Slump God, NLE Choppa, Nettspend, Che, DC The Don, Molly Santana, Benji Blue Bills, Karrahbooo, Weiland, Clip, Prettifun, Thirteendegrees, and BossFTR. Saturday will feature performances by Sexyy Red, Lil Tecca, Destroy Lonely, Sahbabii, Soulja Boy, Osamason, BabyTron, Plaqueboymax, Lazer Dim 700, Famous Dex, Yung Bans, Chuckyy, 1900Rugrat, Nino Paid, 1oneam, Adamn Killa, XTSY*, and Komla.
