Students Await CBSE And Maharashtra Board Results 2025

As results approach, students prepare for pivotal educational decisions

As the month of May unfolds, students across India are gearing up for the much-anticipated CBSE and Maharashtra Board results for the academic year 2025. With millions of students awaiting their scores, the excitement and anxiety are palpable, as these results often determine their educational and career trajectories.

For the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the results for Class 10 and 12 are expected to be released soon, with students rushing to both the official CBSE website and DigiLocker to access their scores. Over the years, DigiLocker has gained a reputation for delivering results minutes before the official CBSE portals, making it a preferred choice among students.

According to Hindustan Herald, "DigiLocker often takes the lead" in displaying results, primarily due to its pre-loading feature. The CBSE pushes mark sheets to DigiLocker accounts hours before activating the result website, allowing students who have registered to view their scores sooner. Additionally, DigiLocker experiences less traffic compared to the overloaded CBSE site, which often suffers from login delays and crashes.

Students looking to take advantage of this early access should register on DigiLocker before result day. By visiting digilocker.gov.in, students can sign up using their Aadhaar or phone number, link their CBSE data, and enable notifications for real-time alerts. The DigiLocker app can also be downloaded to ensure quick access to results, bypassing any slow browser loading times.

However, students should not solely rely on DigiLocker. The official CBSE site, results.cbse.nic.in, is still the primary destination for results, even though it faces significant challenges during peak traffic times.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is also preparing to announce its results. Approximately 22 lakh students sit for the SSC (10th) and HSC (12th) exams each year, and 2025 is no exception. The HSC result was officially declared on May 5, 2025, while the SSC result is expected to follow on May 15, 2025.

The Maharashtra Board results will be released online on the official websites, mahresult.nic.in and mahahsscboard.in. To check their results, students must enter their roll number and their mother's first name. This year, the SSC exams were conducted from February 21 to March 17, 2025, and the HSC exams from February 11 to March 18, 2025.

For students who may not pass, there are provisions for supplementary exams. If a student fails in one or two subjects, they can apply for compartment exams in June or July, with tests scheduled for August 2025. The compartment results will be released by the end of August.

In terms of passing criteria, students must achieve a minimum of 35% in each subject to pass. The grading system awards students based on their performance, with first division being above 60%, second division between 45% and 59%, and pass division between 35% and 44%.

Last year, in 2024, approximately 15,49,326 students appeared for the SSC exams, achieving an impressive passing percentage of 95.81%. Among them, girls had a passing percentage of 97.21%, while boys stood at 94.56%. Similar numbers were reported for the HSC exams, which also saw around 15 lakh students participating.

As the results draw closer, students are advised to prepare adequately. They should ensure their DigiLocker accounts are set up, keep the official websites bookmarked, and remain calm amidst the rush to check results. The anticipation of results is not just about numbers; it signifies the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

Moreover, students should be aware of the process for result verification and re-evaluation. If there are doubts regarding their marks, they can apply for verification in June 2025, with revised results expected in July 2025. This process ensures transparency and allows students to address any discrepancies in their results.

In summary, the CBSE and Maharashtra Board results for 2025 are pivotal moments for students, marking a significant transition in their educational journeys. The preparation for these results has been extensive, and the outcomes will play a crucial role in shaping their future paths, whether in higher education or vocational training.

The excitement and anxiety surrounding the results reflect the importance of these exams in students' lives. As they wait for their scores, students are encouraged to focus on their next steps, whether that means preparing for further studies or exploring career opportunities.

Ultimately, the results will not only reflect their academic performance but also their resilience and determination in navigating the challenges of their educational journeys.
