The patent outlines a unique gearbox assembly, enabling the electric motor to provide drive torque to either the vehicle’s wheels or the integrated winch. This dual-function capability means off-road enthusiasts may soon benefit from having a built-in winch without needing external systems. The Electric Drive Module works by distributing torque to the front or rear axles under standard driving conditions.
