Steam Next Fest 2025 Welcomes Exciting Game Demos

Discover new titles and share your feedback during the anticipated gaming event.

Steam Next Fest 2025 is bringing gamers worldwide exciting opportunities to play and engage with numerous upcoming titles through free demo releases. From survival adventures to whimsical combat, developers are eager to showcase their creations and receive feedback from the community.

One of the standout titles making waves is Outworld Station, which has officially launched its demo during the Next Fest. Developed by Indie studio Trickjump Games, Outworld Station is set for Early Access release on April 24, 2025. This engaging space strategy game invites players to step up as commanders in the hostile TAU system, where they can build complex supply chains, mine asteroids, and automate resource gathering across various space bases. Players will face challenges as they upgrade technology, construct ships, and defend against unpredictable threats. “Build, expand, and exploit every resource you can to construct the planet-spanning space-based industrial complex the likes of which the galaxy has never seen,” stated the developers.

Gamers can navigate through the intricately created environments where they will utilize resources like antimatter, deploy cloud miners, and manage different types of vessels. The demo will be available until March 3, providing ample time for gamers to explore this vast universe.

Another title gaining attention is Soalpunk, explicitly created for players who love open-world survival experiences. Developed by Cyberwave and published by rokaplay, this game invites players to build homes, grow food, and craft gadgets among floating islands. Participants will have the chance to experience some of the core gameplay elements like base building, farming, and energy systems during the Steam Next Fest. “Don't miss out on your chance to try the game!” encouraged the developers, underscoring the anticipation surrounding this release.

Gun Store Simulator also takes center stage during the event, allowing players to step directly behind the counter of their own gun shop. This demo offers insight not only to potential business mechanics but also to customer interaction. With the event running from February 24 to March 1, aspiring gun store tycoons can test their skills and possibly impact future gameplay with feedback.

Game-related chaos continues with GLUM, another anticipated adventure showcased at Steam Next Fest. Players will take on the role of Glum, the titular antisocial goblin, on his quest to rescue his boss. The demo introduces players to the Menace System, which encourages over-the-top actions leading to chaos and humor. “Kick first, ask questions never,” as the developers from CinderCat Games put it, emphasizing the whimsical combat awaiting participants. The full title is set to release later this year, with exciting prospects for early access during Steam Next Fest.

Squirreled Away presents something entirely different by placing players in the vibrant life of squirrels. Using smooth parkour mechanics, players will collect resources, craft items, and build their dream treetop hideouts. Far Seas, the Stockholm-based developer, aims to create unique experiences with this title. “Master the art of acrobatic movement,” said the team, promoting their innovative take on survival crafting.

Meanwhile, the tactical adventures continue with Solasta II, set to run as another highlight during the fest. Players can explore the fantastic continent of Neokos, overcoming challenges with new game mechanics tied to dice rolls. The demo emphasizes community engagement as Tactical Adventures seeks player feedback to refine the title before its Early Access launch. “The Solasta II demo will allow the community to participate,” confirmed the developers, stressing the importance of gamer input.

The diversity of experiences available through Steam Next Fest 2025 promises something for everyone, regardless of gaming preferences. From constructing elaborate systems of supply on expansive maps to whimsical violence and crafting experiences, the festival serves as both showcase and testing ground for new, exciting games. Gamers eagerly await the opportunity to shape these titles before they land on their favorite platforms.
