Star-Studded Performers Announced For 2025 Grammys

Trevor Noah hosts as the ceremony supports wildfire relief efforts through music.

The 2025 Grammy Awards have officially announced the first batch of performers set to take the stage on Sunday, February 2, 2025. A star-studded lineup featuring Billie Eilish, Shakira, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Charli XCX, Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, and Sabrina Carpenter is gearing up for what promises to be an unforgettable evening.

The ceremony will air live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, hosted for the fifth consecutive year by Trevor Noah. It will not only celebrate the year's best music but will also serve as a platform to raise funds dedicated to wildfire relief efforts affecting the Los Angeles area.

According to the Recording Academy's CEO Harvey Mason Jr., the event is not solely about the accolades. "The upcoming Grammy Awards won’t just be about celebrating and honoring the best in music this year; it will also show how the power of music can help rebuild, uplift and support those in need," he stated. This sentiment resonates deeply at a time when the community is still grappling with the impacts of recent wildfires.

The lineup includes Eilish, Carnival favorite Charli XCX, and the up-and-coming Roan, who is seeing significant recognition this year. Eilish, Charli XCX, Roan, and Carpenter are all nominated for key awards, reflecting their artistic success over the past year. Doechii, who is receiving three nominations during her debut year, will join Shakira, who seeks her fourth Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album with her record, "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran." Newcomers Boone and Swims are also vying for the coveted Best New Artist title.

The Grammy nominations were announced back in November, with Beyoncé leading the pack with 11 nominations, marking her as the artist with the most nominations in the history of the awards. Following her were other major artists like Post Malone, Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Charli XCX, each with seven nominations. Roan, Carpenter, and renowned singer-songwriter Taylor Swift trailed closely behind with six nominations each.

Notably, the backdrop of the awards ceremony is colored by the devastating wildfires ravaging parts of the area. Many industry members have voiced concerns about continuing with the event, calling for possible rescheduling or cancellation. Nevertheless, the Grammys confirmed they would proceed as planned, emphasizing the show's renewed sense of purpose—raising funds for first responders and wildfire victims.
