Star-Studded 2025 Pegasus World Cup Shines At Gulfstream Park

Thrilling races and luxury experiences set new standards at the prestigious event.

The 2025 Pegasus World Cup dazzled a sold-out crowd with thrilling races, star-studded performances, and exclusive hospitality at Gulfstream Park this past Saturday, January 25. From record-breaking wins to curated luxury experiences, this year’s event set a new standard for entertainment and elegance.

The Pegasus World Cup delivered an unforgettable day of racing, entertainment, and opulence at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach. With over 10,000 guests, the event featured electrifying performances by world-renowned DJs Black Coffee and Diplo, alongside country and pop sensation Dasha, who wowed audiences with her horseback performance of “Austin” during the live broadcast. Legendary boxing champion Mike Tyson added to the vibrant energy of the day with his commanding “Rider’s Up” call.

Among the highlights was the triumphant performance of White Abarrio, co-owned by C2 Racing Stable, Prince Faisal, and Antonio Pagnano, who took home the coveted $3 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational trophy. This impressive stallion was trained by Saffie Joseph Jr. and ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. The winners celebrated their victory with the Baccarat Pegasus Championship Trophy, valued at $47,000. Meanwhile, Spirit of St Louis earned glory with the $1 million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational, and Ireland’s Be Your Best was recognized as the winner of the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Pegasus World Cup Filly & Mare Turf Invitational.

The event also catered to its affluent guests with luxurious offerings. The Flamingo Room and private suites provided curated cuisine from Groot Hospitality’s celebrated restaurants, such as Gekkō and Papi Steak. Guests enjoyed signature cocktails like the Pegasus Paloma and the Pink Jockey, artfully mixed by 1/ST’s expert mixologist. The vibrant atmosphere continued at the Carousel Club, which offered trackside dining paired with Whispering Angel rosé and high-energy programming curated by Groot Hospitality and the Palm Tree Crew.

Adding to the glamour, SirDavis American Whisky debuted the SirDavis Garden—an exclusive hospitality area offering bespoke cocktails, gourmet dishes, and even hosted a custom seven-foot horse statue. This initiative epitomizes the Pegasus World Cup’s commitment to enhanced experiences.

The excitement extended beyond the racetrack, as the Pegasus World Cup saw record-breaking wagers exceeding $41.7 million. The event bolstered its status as North America’s premier destination for horse racing, lifestyle, and entertainment with partnerships secured with global brands like Casamigos Tequila and Ketel One Vodka.

To align with advancements, Everi Holdings Inc. launched the Gulfstream Racing App utilizing its BeOn™ Mobile Services. This app, available for Apple users, enhances the wagering experience for fans attending the Pegasus World Cup and is aimed at boosting hospitality engagement. It incorporates traditional features—ticketing, dining reservations, race schedules—together with advanced wagering options.

The Gulfstream Racing App integrates Everi's CashClub Wallet® technology, allowing for cashless wagering options for guests on-site. This initiative marks just the beginning of Everi's strategic expansion within the horse racing segment, aiming to broaden its reach following its acquisition of Venuetize last year.

Darren Simmons, Everi's Executive Vice President of FinTech Business, commented, “With 1/ST's experience delivering world-class entertainment and wagering for horse racing fans, we felt it was natural for Everi to integrate mobile capabilities.” Meanwhile, Keith Johnson, President of 1/ST TECHNOLOGY, stated, “The Gulfstream Racing App puts the picks of our horse racing experts readily at hand.”

Overall, this year’s Pegasus World Cup not only showcased the thrill of horse racing but also reaffirmed its role as a beacon of luxury and entertainment, setting expectations for future events. The fusion of elite racing, celebrity presence, and lavish experiences solidified its standing as one of the most significant dates on South Florida's social calendar.
