Stars Of Dance Of The Vampires Appear On Tetsuko's Room

Yu Shirota and Mario Yamaguchi share personal stories ahead of musical debut.

In a highly anticipated return to the spotlight, renowned musical stars Yu Shirota and Mario Yamaguchi are set to grace the popular Japanese talk show 'Tetsuko's Room' in consecutive weeks. Shirota will appear on April 16, 2025, while Yamaguchi will follow on April 23, 2025, marking his first appearance on the show in 22 years.

Shirota, who is known for his role as Karl Yugei Kelner in the 2017 drama 'Totto-chan!', will perform a live rendition of classic songs by Hibari Misora and Yutaka Ozaki, accompanied by piano and violin. This performance will showcase his musical talent and connect with fans who have followed his career since his early days.

Meanwhile, Yamaguchi's appearance is particularly special, as he reflects on the loss of his mother during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has previously noted that her mannerisms resembled those of the show's host, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. During the episode, Yamaguchi will unveil a childhood photograph of himself with his mother, which is expected to evoke a strong emotional response from viewers.

In addition to sharing personal stories, Yamaguchi will discuss his journey of returning to education and studying law in his fifties. This segment aims to inspire viewers who may be considering their own educational pursuits later in life.

Performances will take place at the Tokyo Building Brillia HALL from May 10 to May 31, followed by shows at the Misonoza Theater in Aichi from June 7 to June 15, the Umeda Arts Theater Main Hall in Osaka from July 4 to July 12, and the Hakataza Theater in Fukuoka from July 19 to July 30.

In anticipation of the musical's opening, both Shirota and Yamaguchi's guest appearances on 'Tetsuko's Room' are expected to draw significant attention, highlighting their talents and the emotional depth of their personal stories.
