Both actors were among the top contenders, showcasing their skills and passion on the international stage.

The event was marked by the U.K.'s impressive performance, leading the night with four awards spanning various categories including Best Actor, Best Documentary, Best Sports Documentary, and Best Kids Animation. The success of UK productions at such prestigious events serves to underline the country’s exceptional contributions to global television.

Spain also marked its presence with two awards, achieving victories for División Palermo—which claimed Best Comedy Series—and for the best Telenovela with La Promesa. These wins indicate the rich storytelling and captivating productions coming out of the Spanish television industry.

Among other notable wins was the French-Japanese drama series Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God), which clinched the award for Best Drama Series, coming out on top against strong competitors including India’s The Night Manager. This win accentuates the collaborative spirit and creative outputs of international productions, merging distinct cultural narratives to resonate with audiences worldwide.

The ceremony not only honored talents from various genres and formats but also paid tribute to the significant artistic contributions across multiple countries, with shows nominated from Japan, Argentina, Thailand, Belgium, and Poland. Winning productions spanned diverse themes, from historical dramas to animated series, encapsulating the creativity present within international television programming.

The awards for documentary nominations saw Otto Baxter: Not A F*ing Horror Story, also from the U.K., taking the top honor, showcasing moving real-life stories through the lens of creative documentary filmmaking. Such achievements serve as reminders of the importance of storytelling both within fictional and non-fiction domains.

Among the other winners were Pianoforte for Best Arts Programming from Poland, and Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story, also from the U.K., which won for Best Sports Documentary, highlighting diverse perspectives brought forth within the sports genre. The decisions made by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences reflect not just quality, but also the significance of representation across cultural narratives.
