On March 16, 2025, employees of housing and communal services and consumer services are celebrated for their professional holiday, recognizing their indispensable role in maintaining the comfort and cleanliness of the Starodub district. Without their continuous efforts, modern life as we know it would be quite different.
Leading this hardworking team is N. I. Kagan, who oversees nine dedicated individuals committed to their roles aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents. This crew is responsible for the routine cleaning of public areas, ensuring the community looks its best year-round.
The team includes several long-standing members: V. V. Abramov, with 15 years of service; N. M. Gladchenko, who has contributed for 13 years; A. N. Politiko, for 4 years; and L. G. Shkuratova, for 5 years. Newer members, including T. I. Androsenko, D. V. Kuryatnikov, D. S. Snytko, the road master A. A. Krivopusk, and I. M. Shoya, who was unavailable during this report, are also instrumental to the team’s efforts.
Recently, the industrious crew undertook several important initiatives, such as clearing the area surrounding Soldatskaya Gora on Frunze Street and removing hazardous trees from streets including Semashko, Uritsky, and Lenin, with some work completed on Krasnooktyabrskaya Street as well. Their responsibilities extend to removing sand from roadways, mowing grass during the warmer months, planting and caring for flowers, and enhancing the overall beauty of the city.
For example, on the day of our visit, the team was busy cleaning the sandy surfaces of Krasnooktyabrskaya Street and refreshing the central area of the town. With each season, they transition duties to include tending to local cemeteries, parks, and public gardens, ensuring these spaces remain tidy and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.
Their efforts significantly contribute to creating beautiful spaces where the community can relax after long days, enjoying the scenic surroundings shaped by dedicated hands. It is often taken for granted, but this team plays a subtle yet integral role in shaping the public perception of the Starodub district.
Community members and leaders acknowledge the hard work and merits of these individuals, with many receiving certificates and accolades for their efforts. This recognition is well-deserved, as the labor of these employees often goes unnoticed, yet it directly contributes to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the district.
The celebration of their hard work did not go unnoticed, with residents expressing deep appreciation for their undeniable contributions. cWe congratulate everyone who makes our life cleaner, brighter, and more comfortable. We wish you health, family well-being, prosperity, peace, and goodness,d was echoed by several community members during the festivities.
To see firsthand how this small yet mighty team operates, one can witness them at work beautifying the parks, streets, and public venues of the Starodub district. Their presence ensures not only cleanliness but also pride within the community.
So, as March 16 rolls around each year, it serves not just as a date on the calendar but as a reminder of the tireless efforts of the housing and communal services employees. Their hard work ensures the environment remains spotless and inviting, making Starodub a city residents can take pride in.
Their team spirit and dedication highlight values of service, community, and respect for the surroundings. Each year, as they celebrate, the community must come together to honor the professional holiday with gratitude and appreciation for these unsung heroes.
