Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 Soundtrack Box Set Launching Soon

Fans can celebrate the Star Wars legacy with exclusive music collection and memorabilia.

Universal Music has announced the release of the limited-edition "Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025: Original Soundtrack Box Set," set to hit the shelves on April 18, 2025, during the highly anticipated "Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025" event taking place at Makuhari Messe, Chiba. Priced at 57,500 yen, this extensive collection includes 23 CDs, all packaged beautifully with special artwork, making it not just a listening experience but also a collector's item.

Fans of the franchise will be thrilled to note the box set encompasses all 11 live-action films released to date, as well as music from 12 different works, including Disney+ streaming offerings. Such selections promise to provide over 500 tracks of unforgettable sound, featuring beloved compositions by renowned composer John Williams, among others. The box set will be presented in 7-inch paper jacket format, lovingly crafted to showcase some of the finest music from over four decades of Star Wars history, starting from "Star Wars: A New Hope" launched in 1977 to the recent "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire," set to debut in 2024.

Bundles accompanying the main box set will also entice fans. Each purchase will earn buyers exclusive collectible bonuses—a "Star Wars" original record bag (tote bag/dark brown) and original clear file themed around the "Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025." Both items are non-sale items, adding to the allure for collectors.

Further building upon the excitement, the original soundtrack records of two iconic films, "Star Wars: A New Hope" and "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back," will return for sale on colored vinyl after previously selling out during limited releases back in 2021. These will retail for 7,000 yen each, but purchasers of both records will gain access to another unique promotional item—the "Star Wars" original record bag (tote bag/light brown)—available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This unique celebration marks not just the event, but the everlasting impact of the Star Wars saga on its dedicated fan base. With thematic tracks like the Star Wars Main Title, Imperial March, and many others now available together, collectors are invited to experience this immersive soundscape anew.

Universal Music emphasizes the significance behind these releases, intending to rekindle nostalgia for fans who have cherished the music of Star Wars through the years. "The music of Star Wars has been beloved by generations, and this limited-release box set captures the essence of the saga for fans anew," representatives stated, hinting at the connections this timeless music will continue to forge.

The event from April 18-20 at Makuhari Messe promises to be more than just another meet-up; it's framed as the ultimate gathering for fans to celebrate their shared love for the franchise, where the box set will be available exclusively. Due to limited quantities, attendees are encouraged to secure their purchases quickly to avoid missing out.

This event encapsulates the spirit of community and passion surrounding the franchise. To paraphrase one of the representatives from Universal Music, "This soundtrack box set features our most exclusive collections, lending nostalgia and excitement for the fans attending the celebration."

With early interest anticipated to be high, fans are eager to see what the collection will offer and how it commemorates the legacy of Star Wars. This limited-edition release encapsulates years of storytelling, emotion, and craftsmanship, ensuring its status as one of the most memorable offerings within the Star Wars franchise.
