Over two-thirds of top MLB prospects showcased as teams compete across four days of exciting matchups.

MLB's Spring Breakout returns for its highly-anticipated second season, promising to spotlight the future stars of the league. The series kicked off on March 13 with thrilling matchups, showcasing 68 top prospects from Baseball America’s Top 100 list. This year, fans can look forward to seeing the game’s rising stars from all 30 MLB teams take the field over four days.

With the excitement palpable, the Spring Breakout series features 16 exhibition games, giving fans the opportunity to see some of the best talents as they face off against each other. The event is being live-streamed on MLB Network, allowing baseball enthusiasts to follow the action from home.

The series began on March 13, starting with the Tampa Bay Rays narrowly edging out the Boston Red Sox, highlighted by superb home runs from Boston's trio of top prospects: Roman Anthony, Kristian Campbell, and Marcelo Mayer, alongside the Rays' top prospect, Carson Williams. The Red Sox featured 14 of their top 15 prospects, showcasing the considerable depth of talent within the organization. Likewise, the Rays brought their top 10 prospects to the event, making for exciting matchups.

  • March 13: Red Sox vs. Rays at 7:05 PM ET, Cubs vs. Dodgers at 9:05 PM ET.

  • March 14: Marlins vs. Cardinals at 12:10 PM ET, Pirates vs. Phillies at 1:05 PM ET, Nationals vs. Astros at 2:05 PM ET, Athletics vs. Padres at 5:40 PM ET, Mariners vs. Guardians at 8:05 PM ET, Royals vs. Diamondbacks at 8:10 PM ET.

  • March 15: Twins vs. Blue Jays at 1:07 PM ET, Yankees vs. Orioles at 6:05 PM ET, Rangers vs. Giants at 8:05 PM ET, Angels vs. Cubs at 9:05 PM ET.

  • March 16: Tigers vs. Braves at 4:05 PM ET, Mets vs. Nationals at 5:05 PM ET, Rockies vs. White Sox at 5:05 PM ET, Reds vs. Brewers at 7:40 PM ET.

The matchups promise both intensity and excitement. For example, when the Cardinals face the Marlins, fans can expect to see power players like Quinn Mathews and first-rounder JJ Wetherholt from St. Louis. On the other side, Miami will offer up their standouts Thomas White and Starlyn Caba - both of whom are considered among the top prospects in the minors.
