T'way Air and Save the Children Partner to Offer Young People Career Experiences
Seoul, South Korea – T'way Air announced on February 26th its collaboration with the international children’s rights NGO Save the Children to offer children insight and practical experience working as cabin crew members. On February 25th, 20 children were invited to the T'way Air training center located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, where they participated in the 'Crew Class' program aimed at exploring careers within the aviation industry.
The program provided participants with hands-on training sessions, including fire suppression practice and cabin service simulations, allowing children to familiarize themselves with both the service and safety protocols of flight attendants. The aviation training center, the first low-cost carrier institution approved by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, offers structured safety training led by qualified instructors.
The training center has previously been recognized for its excellence, hosting visits from international aviation officials who inspected and experienced its operations. T'way Air has maintained its partnership with Save the Children since 2018, facilitating continuous educational outreach through initiatives such as the 'Give Together' fundraising campaign and calendar sales for donations.”
According to T'way Air officials, “We hope the Crew Class program has broadened the children’s awareness of aviation safety and assisted them in exploring their future career paths. We plan to continue various social contribution activities geared toward children and adolescents.”
Musinsa and Amorepacific Collaborate to Expand Youth Career Horizons
On the same day, fashion retailer Musinsa and beauty giant Amorepacific concluded their 'Meet Your Dream' social contribution campaign aimed at assisting teenagers with their career explorations. Held on February 25th at Musinsa’s stores in Seongsu-dong, the program targeted young individuals who aspired to enter the fashion and beauty industries.
This initiative allowed 40 students from local middle and high schools to participate, helping them experience hands-on tasks related to fashion and beauty through various activities. Participants were organized to create and promote concepts for a fictitious brand named 'MYD.' They were guided by professionals from both companies, including Musinsa merchandisers and Amorepacific brand managers, to produce brand-related products and photoshoots.
During the program, students engaged in styling, makeup, and photoshoot exercises at several popular Musinsa and Amorepacific locations, enhancing their career-related skills over the course of two days. Following completion of their tasks, students presented their work at Musinsa’s Seongsu N1, where outstanding teams were rewarded with gift packages and cultural vouchers prepared by Musinsa and Amorepacific.
An Amorepacific representative stated, “This was meaningful for providing future beauty and fashion talents with practical experience. We will continue to create various opportunities to support youth growth.” Meanwhile, Musinsa expressed its commitment to strengthening collaborative impact activities, stating, “It is significant for us as leaders of the fashion and beauty sectors to have the opportunity to assist teenagers in career exploration.”
Policy Review on Maritime Issues to be Held at National Pukyong University
On the horizon, the National Pukyong University will host the ‘2025 National Pukyong University - Joint Symposium on Maritime and Fisheries Research Institutes’ on February 26th. This symposium, themed 'Global Initiatives for Climate Recovery Strategies for Sustainable Fisheries,' aims to address pressing maritime challenges, with participation from nine leading maritime research institutions across Busan.
Key presentations will cover recent research trend discussions on climate change impacts within maritime fisheries, as well as detailed strategies for sustainable seafood practices and related technologies. The event is expected to create strengthened networks among various maritime research institutions, bolstering academic and practical responses to environmental and economic issues impacting the fisheries sector.
The symposium will kick off with keynote lectures from notable professors and experts, delving deep without compromising scientific integrity. Topics will address sustainable aquaculture strategies, innovative fisheries management, and the integration of AI technologies within marine automation.
Politec University and Job World to Collaborate on Youth Career Experiences
Another promising initiative is the recent collaboration between Politec University and Korea Job World focused on youth career development. This agreement enables the establishment of job experience centers at Job World, promoting exploration opportunities across various industries related to future jobs for young people.
Through this partnership, students will gain exposure to practical job experiences, aligning educational courses with current industry standards. Chancellor Lee Cheolsu of Politec University expressed his hopes for the program, emphasizing its role in broadening students' horizons as they start to define their career paths.
