On December 13, 2024, Shineray officially launched its new motorcycle, the 250F Flash 2025, in Brazil. This launch marks the company’s efforts to expand its product line and position itself against popular models like the Honda CB 300F and the Yamaha FZ25.
The Shineray 250F 2025 is priced at R$ 21,500, excluding freight costs. Although the name “Flash” is prominently displayed on the motorcycle's sides, the company has opted to refer to it simply as the 250F. This model also signifies Shineray's first collaboration with the renowned Chinese manufacturer QJ Motor, creating expectations for quality and innovation.
Equipped with substantial features for its category, the 250F Flash includes inverted front suspension, liquid-cooled engine, and ABS braking system on both front and rear wheels, aimed at providing enhanced safety and rider comfort.
Specifically, the motorcycle boasts a single-cylinder DOHC engine with a displacement of 248.92 cc, delivering 27.9 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and 22.5 Nm of torque, according to information provided by the manufacturer. It incorporates a 6-speed gearbox, though details about fuel consumption and top speed have yet to be disclosed.
The 250F Flash features a large digital dashboard and a USB charging port, elements considerate of contemporary motorcyclists. It will come available at dealerships starting mid-December 2024, with options for colors including red, white, and black to cater to varying tastes.
Shineray's focus with this model is on modern design, incorporating LED lighting and dual-level seating for rider and passenger comfort. The suspension configuration consists of telescopic forks upfront and a mono-shock system at the rear, which promotes stability and impact absorption across different terrains.
Safety features include hydraulic disc brakes, with the front enjoying a 280 mm diameter and the rear at 240 mm, both equipped with ABS to prevent lock-ups during sudden stops—important for both the rider’s and passenger’s safety.
Additional specifications include the motorcycle's length of 2,065 mm, width of 1,065 mm, and height of 810 mm, with a wheelbase of 1,360 mm and seat height at 780 mm. The 190 mm ground clearance allows for improved navigation over minor urban obstacles.
Shineray is positioning the 250F Flash 2025 to appeal to different profiles of motorcyclists—ranging from beginners to those with greater experience aiming for practical performance. This strategic launch aims to solidify Shineray’s foothold within the competitive Brazilian market.
Overall, the 250F Flash 2025 is seen as not just another entry-level motorcycle, but rather as Shineray’s strategic move to gain traction against its rivals and meet the growing demands of Brazilian motorcyclists who seek both style and functionality.
