Emotional tributes and fiery performances highlight the celebration of Latin music culture.

The 37th Premio Lo Nuestro award ceremony, held on February 20, 2025, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, illuminated the vibrant world of Latina music with star-studded performances and heartfelt tributes. The night saw Shakira and Carin León emerge as the major winners, with Shakira taking home six awards and León snagging five.

Shakira, celebrating from her concert stage in Barranquilla, Colombia, expressed her gratitude through the live Univision broadcast, connecting with fans and viewers worldwide. Not far behind were musical sensations Karol G and Camilo, each receiving four accolades, during the emotionally charged night hosted by Laura Pausini, Thalía, and Alejandra Espinoza.

The ceremony's theme, "Uniting Generations," was perfectly embodied by the tributes paid to past musical legends, starting with Manuel Alejandro. The Spanish composer received heartfelt serenades featuring beloved hits from Alejandro Sanz, Laura Pausini, Carin León, and Niña Pastori. "This is a grand celebration for me, as I started my career many years ago here, realizing the strength of your people when they listen to love songs," Alejandro remarked, visibly emotional.

Another memorable segment honored Paquita la del Barrio, where Pepe Aguilar alongside his children, Leonardo and Ángela, performed her classics, including the crowd-favorite "Rata de dos patas." The electrifying atmosphere was amplified when Alejandro Fernández received the Premio Lo Nuestro for Excellence, dedicaking the award to his family, his late father, and reflecting on the struggles faced by Mexicans living in the United States.

The night opened with Will Smith and India Martínez igniting the stage to their new song, "First Love," which set the tone for the exhilarating events to follow. DJ Khaled, Thalía, and the iconic Miami Sound Machine reignited the excitement with their rendition of the classic anthem "Miami," presenting a spectacular kickoff for the night of celebration.

The night also marked the farewell of Dominican artist El Alfa from the stage, who thrilled the audience with memorable hits. Manuel Turizo and Xavi debuted their new collaboration, "En privado," engaging the audience with fresh talent.

Marc Anthony, the record-holder with 28 Premio Lo Nuestro awards, made a memorable entrance by performing "Volver" alongside Piso 21 and Beéle, captivating the audience with his signature sound.
