Seibu Railway is set to launch an exciting new wrapping train as part of the "Love Live! Sunshine!! x Seibu Railway/Izu Hakone Railway Aqours 9th Anniversary Joint Campaign." This special train will operate from April 28, 2025, to July 27, 2025, featuring vibrant designs celebrating the popular fictional group Aqours from the multimedia project. The train, specifically the 40000 series 40155 formation, will be wrapped with images of the Aqours members and will display exclusive head marks throughout its journey.
The wrapping train will traverse several key lines, including the Ikebukuro Line, Seibu Shinjuku Line, Seibu Yurakucho Line, as well as the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, Fukutoshin Line, Tokyu Toyoko Line, and Yokohama Minatomirai Line. This initiative aims to engage fans of the series and attract a wider audience to experience the joy of traveling on this uniquely decorated train.
In addition to the wrapping train, Seibu Railway is also hosting a stamp rally that coincides with the anniversary campaign. The stamp rally will run from April 25, 2025, to July 27, 2025. Participants can purchase the "Seibu Line Stamp Rally 1-Day Trip Ticket" to embark on this fun-filled journey. After purchasing the ticket, participants can collect a rally sheet at designated stamp installation stations and begin their rally adventure. Notably, the exchange for the rally sheet at Seibu Stadium Station will only be available on June 21 and June 22, 2025.
The stamp installation stations include Ikebukuro, Nerima, Shakujii Park, Tokorozawa, Seibu Stadium, Kodaira, Shin-Tokorozawa, Kokubunji, and Higashiyamatoshi stations. The 1-day trip ticket will be available for purchase until 4 PM each day during the event period. Tickets can be bought from automatic vending machines located at Seibu Line stations, excluding certain stations along the route. The ticket is priced at 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children, and it also includes a rally sheet and a ticket for an original postcard.
