Scènes De Ménages Celebrates 15 Years With Special Episode

A star-studded anniversary episode unites all beloved couples and introduces new characters.

M6 is set to air a special prime episode of its beloved series Scènes de Ménages on Monday, February 24, 2025, to celebrate its impressive fifteen years of existence. This anniversary special promises to dazzle fans with exciting storylines and character reunions.

On October 29, 2024, Télé-Loisirs had exclusive access on the final days of filming for this memorable episode. Notably, this installment is significant as it features all couples interacting within the same plot for the first time, creating a thrilling convergence of episodes. Audiences will see the entire ensemble cast come together to celebrate the wedding of Charlotte and Damien, portrayed by Caroline Vigneau and Fred Testot, respectively.

The picturesque Château de Nandy, located in Seine-et-Marne and surrounded by stunning parks and forests, serves as the filming location. Known for hosting many weddings, the venue adds charm and elegance to the ceremony of Charlotte and Damien. Viewers can expect cooking mishaps and wedding planning shenanigans as Liliane, played by Valérie Karsenti, takes charge of the organization, with Philippe (Grégoire Bonnet) overseeing the music and Louise (Claudia Mongumu) and Jalil (Ryad Baxx) managing the buffet. Meanwhile, the recent arrivals Alice and Sofiane, depicted by Élodie Poux and Majid Berhila, will also make their mark at the wedding as unusual guests.

The excitement on set was palpable, especially for Gérard Hernandez, known for his role as Raymond, who is now serving as the paternal figure during the wedding festivities. His nostalgia for the production echoes as he approaches his 92nd birthday, yet he exudes youthful enthusiasm. “Never get bored; it’s advice I give to everyone! The slightest second of boredom brings you closer to death,” he shared during the podcast Dhombres et de Lumières.

Throughout the shoot, the actors balanced humor and hard work, with constant guidance from director Karim Adda, who skillfully adjusted each scene to draw out the humor inherent within the story. Focused on perfecting the production, Adda was seen orchestrated every detail minutely, inspiring laughter and joy as he reinvigorated familiar scenes.

After wrapping scenes with dramatic flair and comedic gusto, cast members were seen enjoying camaraderie on set, integrating warm personal moments with the filming. Anne-Elisabeth Blateau and David Mora, recognizable as Emma and Fabien, shared playful banter between takes, donning elegant outfits required for the wedding scenes.

Gérard Hernandez, known affectionately as "Gégé" among his peers, received tender care from makeup and costume professionals equally, illustrating the warmth shared across the cast. He humorously quipped, “The intelligence doesn’t help actors! A good actor has to be foolish!” showcasing his iconic blend of wisdom and wit.

This anniversary will not only spotlight the cherished return of all the original couples but also mark the final appearances of beloved characters Louise and Jalil. Claudia Mongumu and Ryad Baxx’s departure sparked fleeting controversies but did little to dampen the legacy of their characters, emphasizing the show’s emotional core as they prepare to say goodbye.

Yet, the evening also solidifies the introduction of new characters, Alice and Sofiane, as integral parts of the Scènes de Ménages family. With their appearance marking the evolution of the series, the chemistry formed during their previous outings promises to resonate with audiences eager to welcome them fully.

This milestone of Scènes de Ménages also upholds the show's distinction as the most-watched daily series for viewers under 50, averaging 2.4 million subscribers each evening. Particularly recognized during the TL Awards for Best Daily Series 2024, the show continues to capture hearts with its blend of humor and relatable narratives.

Fans are eager for the anniversary special, cementing the legacy of Scènes de Ménages as not just another series on French television, but as a centerpiece of contemporary culture, threading emotional humor through the dynamics of relationships and family life.
