SBI Clerk Prelims Result 2025 Announced Today

Candidates can check their results online as mains exam approaches

The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially announced the results of the SBI Clerk prelims 2025, providing a significant update for candidates who participated in the examination. Released on March 28, 2025, the results can be accessed through the official SBI website, sbi.co.in, where candidates will need to log in using their registration number or roll number along with their date of birth.

The SBI Clerk prelims exam took place over several days, specifically on February 22, 27, 28, and March 1, 2025. This year's preliminary examination was designed to assess candidates across three main sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability, with a total score of 100 marks and a time limit of one hour. Notably, the exam included a negative marking scheme, where one-fourth of the marks for each incorrect answer were deducted, thereby encouraging candidates to answer questions carefully.

As part of the recruitment drive, SBI aims to fill a total of 14,191 vacancies for the position of Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales). Among these, 13,735 are regular vacancies, while 456 are backlog positions. Candidates who successfully pass the prelims will advance to the mains exam, scheduled for April 10 and 12, 2025.

The SBI Clerk prelims results were met with anticipation, and candidates were eager to know their scores and qualifying status. The scorecard includes essential details such as the candidate's name, state, roll number, registration number, category, and the cut-off scores necessary for qualification. The cut-off marks for the prelims have also been released, providing candidates with insight into the performance required to progress to the next stage of the selection process.

For instance, the expected cut-off for the Delhi region was around 76.25 marks, while for Uttarakhand, it was approximately 69.75 marks. The actual cut-offs have been compared against these expectations, revealing some variations. For example, the actual cut-off for Delhi turned out to be 67 marks, while Uttarakhand's was slightly higher at 64.75 marks.

Following the announcement of the prelims results, SBI will also issue the call letters for the mains exam to those candidates who qualify. This is an important step in the recruitment process, as candidates will need the admit card to appear for the mains exam.

The SBI Clerk recruitment process not only evaluates candidates based on their exam performance but also includes a local language test, document verification, and a medical examination to ensure that selected candidates are fit for the role.

As candidates prepare for the upcoming mains exam, they are encouraged to review the syllabus thoroughly, which includes subjects such as General Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The mains exam will consist of 150 questions, with a total of 200 marks, and candidates will have 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete it.

In addition, candidates should note that there are no sectional cut-offs in the prelims exam; they need to achieve an overall cut-off based on their category and state. This means that a strong performance across all sections is crucial for progression.

As the SBI Clerk recruitment continues, candidates are advised to stay updated with any announcements from the bank regarding the mains exam and further instructions. The competitive nature of banking exams necessitates thorough preparation, and candidates are encouraged to utilize available resources, including previous years' question papers and study materials.

The announcement of the SBI Clerk prelims results marks a significant milestone in the recruitment process, and with the mains exam just around the corner, candidates are urged to focus on their preparation strategies to maximize their chances of success.
