TOKYO: The Saudi Arabian Cultural Office celebrated Saudi Founding Day on Saturday, extending heartfelt congratulations to King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the people of Saudi Arabia. The event was hosted by the Cultural Office and was attended by Saudi Ambassador Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, alongside members from Japanese academia and several students.

Ambassador Binzagr emphasized the significance of the event, stating it marked "an affirmation of a long journe

y of sacrifices and achievements" contributing to the establishment of today’s Saudi Arabia. He elaborated, saying, "On this day, we recall the great efforts made by the founder of the first Saudi state, which was the starting point for later stages of unification and development. We live today with pride and honor as part of this success story."

He continued to highlight how the foundation of the first Saudi state brought values of unity, reform, and organization, which have been carried through the ages until the unification of the Kingdom under King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud.

"Saudi Founding Day is not just about remembering our history; it’s about celebrating our determination, our legacy, and the roots from which our blessed state emerged. It serves as a reflection of our unity and progress since our inception," he asserted.

Convening at the Cultural Office not only showcased Saudi traditions but also the friendship between Saudi Arabia and Japan. Ambassador Binzagr expressed his hope for the continued cooperation and friendship between these nations, marking the event as significant for bilateral relations.

Counselor Bader Al-Otaibi explained the historical importance of the day, detailing it marks the founding of the first Saudi state established by Imam Muhammad bin Saud back in 1727. He stated, "Celebration of this historic occasion reflects pride in our Kingdom’s rich heritage and reaffirms the unity and enduring legacy of the Saudi people."

Al-Otaibi reflected on the sacrifices of Saudi ancestors, stating, "On this day, we are reminded of their heroic contributions, which laid the groundwork for strong political entities based on justice, stability, and development. Today, under wise leadership, the Kingdom continues on this path, guided by Saudi Vision 2030, which offers us a roadmap for future prosperity filled with achievement and ambition."

He expressed hope for continued blessings and prosperity for the nation, commending its leadership for their commitment to national growth and development. Throughout his remarks, Al-Otaibi echoed the sentiments shared by Ambassador Binzagr, focusing on the nation’s historical resilience and its commitment to future advancements.

Added to the importance of this day, the celebrations at the Cultural Office provided attendees the opportunity to reflect on their heritage and the future of Saudi Arabia. Through programs like these, the Saudi Arabian Cultural Office aims to not only commemorate historical milestones but also to build cooperative foundations with Japan, assisting to weave stronger ties and shared visions, particularly with the Kingdom’s steadfast movements toward progress.

The Saudi Founding Day celebrations serve as much more than mere commemorations; they are platforms for dialogue, reflection, and commitment to continuous growth, both domestically and internationally. It was clear from the speeches delivered at the event how integral these traditions and historical acknowledgments are to the identity and future of Saudi Arabia.
