Gabry Ponte, well-known for his hit song "Tutta l’Italia," is also among the big names expected to draw attention during the contest.

While only two of the seven semi-final events have been aired so far, anticipation is running high. The semi-finals are set to run from February 22 to February 28, with each show scheduled to broadcast daily at 23:00 CET. The semi-final format allows the winner from each show to automatically progress to the final, with those placing second to fourth competing for additional spots via the second chance round.

The grand final will be held at the Dogana New Theatre, and excitement is building as tickets have already sold out, indicative of the public's interest. According to Roberto Sergio, the Director of SM RTV, this year's contest is set to be “a celebration of music and talent,” highlighting San Marino’s commitment to showcasing both established and upcoming artists.

During the March 8 event, performances will not only come from the finalists but also feature special guests La Rappresentante di Lista and Senhit, adding another layer of prestige to the proceedings. Senhit expressed, “Music is the universal language, and it’s exciting to see so many unique acts competing to share their voices on the big stage.”

Judging the contest will be a five-member jury, which aims to bring transparency and credibility to the evaluation process. This includes:

  • Luca De Gennaro (DJ) – Jury President
  • Roberto Sergio (Director of SMRTV)
  • Federica Gentile (TV and radio host)
  • Ema Stokholma (TV and radio host)
  • Mario Andrea Ettore (Marketing manager at SIAE)

This year, the jury has also been tasked with awarding special prizes, including one for Sammarinese artists and another akin to the Critics’ Prize traditionally seen at major music festivals.

The San Marino Song Contest is integral to the country's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which will take place from May 13 to 17, 2025, hosted in Basel, Switzerland. This year marks San Marino's continued participation, showcasing the rich cultural diversity present within the region.

Despite past struggles, including Mehara’s unsuccessful entry the previous year, San Marino's commitment to placing its brightest talents on the Eurovision stage remains evident. There’s hope and excitement surrounding this year's hopefuls as they gear up to represent their country.

The question now lingers: who will grasp the coveted title and the opportunity to shine internationally at Eurovision? The public’s predictions fill social platforms, adding to the communal anticipation as the contest draws near.

Those interested can catch all the semi-final rounds leading up to the final showdown. Keep following SMRTV for updates on the San Marino Song Contest and the participating artists as they prepare for their moment to shine. The stakes are higher than ever, and the excitement is palpable as only the best will take center stage on March 8.
