On the morning of June 18, 2025, in Hanoi, Samsung Vietnam and the Tourism Information Center, part of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, held a vibrant award ceremony celebrating the winners of the content creation contest titled "Galaxy AI - Understand Vietnamese, Honor Vietnamese Tourism." This event was more than just a prize-giving—it was a powerful tribute to Vietnam’s rich culture and landscapes, aligned with the 2025 tourism stimulus program "Vietnam – Go to Love" launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It also marked the 65th anniversary of Vietnam's tourism industry, a milestone that underscores the country's growing prominence as a travel destination.
The contest, which ran from April 18 to May 18, 2025, attracted over 2,000 participants nationwide and generated an impressive 100 million impressions and interactions across social media platforms. With a total prize pool of 300 million VND, the competition ignited a wave of creativity among Vietnamese content creators, inspiring them to explore and showcase the nation’s beauty through the lens of cutting-edge technology.
The grand prizes were awarded to three outstanding individuals: Ton Thi Tinh took home the top honor in the video category, Dinh Nhu Chien won the image category, and Nguyen Viet Hung received the Inspiration Prize. Their works stood out not only for their artistic merit but also for their heartfelt portrayal of Vietnam’s landscapes and cultural heritage.
Hoang Quoc Hoa, Director of the Tourism Information Center, reflected on the contest’s impact, saying, "Through this competition, we have witnessed a generation of young people brimming with creativity and passion. With eyes to admire, hearts to feel, and the support of Samsung’s Vietnamese-language AI technology, they have created inspiring images, films, and stories that awaken love for the homeland and encourage travelers to embark on exciting journeys." His words capture the essence of the contest’s mission: to blend technology and tradition in a way that fuels national pride and tourism growth.
Samsung’s role in this initiative is part of a broader strategy called "Honoring Vietnamese Values," launched alongside the Galaxy S25 Series. Le Xuan Truong, Marketing and Communications Director for Mobile Experience at Samsung Vietnam, emphasized the contest’s significance: "We are immensely proud to see the clear positive influence the ‘Galaxy AI Understand Vietnamese, Honor Vietnamese Tourism’ contest has had, especially in how Vietnamese youth embrace and harness the power of the Galaxy S25 Series and Galaxy AI. This contest, in collaboration with the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, vividly demonstrates that technology not only transforms the way young people experience travel but also spreads love for their homeland, turning every trip into a meaningful creative journey that helps promote Vietnam’s beauty to the world."
At the heart of this transformation is Galaxy AI, an advanced artificial intelligence system developed by Vietnamese engineers at Samsung Vietnam’s Research and Development Center (SRV). This AI technology boasts exceptional Vietnamese language understanding and processing capabilities, enabling creators to craft compelling content with ease and authenticity.
The contest is just one facet of Samsung's expansive "Honoring Vietnamese Values" journey. This initiative includes the "Galaxy AI Understand Vietnamese, Honor Vietnamese Culture and Landscape" activity, which gathered influential figures like H'Hen Niê, a well-known Vietnamese beauty queen, and Amandine, a cultural explorer, alongside hundreds of young content creators. Together, they traversed Vietnam’s provinces and cities, capturing the country’s majestic natural beauty and vibrant culture through the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Their short videos and images have been widely shared, not only showcasing the stunning scenery but also promoting environmental awareness and sustainable tourism.
Another highlight is the "Galaxy AI Understand Vietnamese, Honor Vietnamese Knowledge" event held at the historic Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature). Participants engaged in a unique immersive experience, reenacting the five stages of scholarly pursuit from Vietnam’s past: enrollment, initiation, debate, examination, and respect for moral principles. Thanks to Galaxy AI’s smart guidance, the event transformed dry historical facts into a vivid, interactive journey, deepening participants’ connection to Vietnamese heritage.
Nguyen Viet Hung, the Inspiration Prize recipient, expressed his heartfelt gratitude: "Receiving this award is deeply moving. I believe my phone will continue to be my loyal companion on future travels, helping me capture the people, landscapes, and daily life I encounter, as well as supporting my upcoming teaching endeavors." His words illustrate the personal and professional impact that this fusion of technology and culture can have.
Samsung Vietnam and the Tourism Information Center reaffirmed their commitment to continue leveraging AI technology to preserve and promote Vietnam’s cultural values and to foster sustainable tourism development. They plan to expand outreach to communities passionate about travel and photography, encouraging them to document and share their experiences through the innovative lens of Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S25 Series.
This collaboration is a shining example of how technology can serve as a bridge between tradition and modernity, empowering a new generation to tell Vietnam’s story in fresh, engaging ways. As these young creators continue their journeys, both virtual and real, they carry forward a torch that illuminates the beauty, knowledge, and spirit of Vietnam to audiences near and far.
