Samsung Vietnam has teamed up with the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism to launch an exciting new content creation contest titled “Galaxy AI Hiểu Tiếng Việt, Tôn Vinh Du Lịch Việt.” This competition, which runs from April 18 to May 18, 2025, invites all Vietnamese citizens residing in Vietnam to showcase their creativity and love for their homeland through digital storytelling.
The contest features three distinct themes: honoring the landscapes of Vietnam, celebrating Vietnamese culture and people, and sharing experiences of Vietnamese tourism. Participants are encouraged to use the AI application embedded in the Galaxy S25 to capture videos and photos, sharing their masterpieces on social media with the official program hashtags.
With a total prize pool of up to 300 million VND, the contest aims to inspire a new generation of storytellers to express their creativity while promoting Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage and stunning natural beauty. The initiative aligns with the government's efforts to boost tourism and stimulate economic growth in the post-pandemic era.
Mr. Le Xuan Truong, Marketing and Communications Director at Samsung Electronics Vietnam, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “We are honored to collaborate with the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism on this meaningful initiative. We believe that the advanced Galaxy AI technology integrated into our devices, especially the S25 Series, will provide Vietnamese users with a powerful tool to express their creativity and promote Vietnamese tourism effectively and impressively.”
The contest is not only a platform for creative expression but also a celebration of significant historical milestones. It commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Day of Southern Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025) and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam tourism industry (July 9, 1960 – July 9, 2025). This context adds a layer of national pride to the competition, as participants are encouraged to reflect on their cultural identity.
Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, highlighted the potential of Vietnamese tourism, noting that in 2024, the sector rebounded to 98% of its pre-pandemic levels, the highest recovery rate in Southeast Asia. In the first quarter of 2025, Vietnam welcomed over 6 million international visitors, the highest number ever recorded for a single quarter.
The contest aims to leverage this momentum by harnessing the power of technology to enhance tourist experiences and promote domestic tourism. Participants can submit their entries in two categories: Photo and Video. Each category will feature a grand prize and weekly prizes throughout the competition period.
To enter, participants must be Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and older, residing in Vietnam, and have a personal account on social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram. They will need to use a Samsung Galaxy device to create their entries, which should be shared publicly with the appropriate hashtags: #GalaxyAI, #GalaxyAIHieuTiengViet, #VietNamDiDeYeu, and #GalaxyS25Series.
In addition to showcasing their work, contestants are required to comment with a link to their submission under the official contest announcement on Samsung Vietnam’s Facebook page. This ensures engagement and visibility for the participants' entries.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Xuyen, Deputy Director of the Tourism Information Center, emphasized the importance of digital transformation in the tourism sector, stating, “As a pioneer in communication and the application of digital transformation in the tourism sector, we are committed to enhancing technology use to support management, tourism business activities, and improve visitor experiences.”
He further expressed hope that the collaboration with Samsung would inspire new partnerships between the tourism industry and major technology players, contributing to the establishment of a smart and efficient tourism ecosystem.
The contest also reflects Samsung's commitment to integrating Vietnamese language capabilities into its AI technology. In 2024, Vietnamese was prioritized for research and officially integrated into Galaxy AI, becoming one of the first 13 languages to be supported. This year, Samsung continues to enhance the understanding of Vietnamese language on the Galaxy AI platform, particularly in the Galaxy S25 Series, to provide users with a more meaningful and useful experience.
Mr. Ha Van Sieu concluded by reiterating the government's commitment to supporting the tourism sector, stating, “Tourism is considered a bright spot in the overall development of the economy and society. The collaboration between Samsung Vietnam and the Tourism Information Center is a testament to the efforts to apply modern technology to promote Vietnamese tourism in this new phase.”
As the contest progresses, results will be announced weekly, with the final winners revealed after the competition concludes. Participants are encouraged to keep their submissions public for at least 60 days after the contest ends, ensuring ongoing visibility for their creative works.
