Samsung Expands Circle To Search Feature Amid User Demand

Latest update brings innovative search capabilities to Galaxy A series and Tab S9 FE devices

Samsung Electronics has recently unveiled its decision to expand the highly praised Circle to Search feature to select models within its Galaxy A series and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE lineup.

This advancement is being celebrated for enhancing user experience, allowing seamless searches directly from the screen with just a simple gesture.

The introduction of Circle to Search follows the feature's success on premium devices such as the Galaxy S24 series and the latest foldables, the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Z Fold6.

This innovative tool enables users to search for text, images, or videos by simply circling, tapping, or highlighting the desired content on their screens, providing intuitive and efficient functionality.

By enabling this feature on the Galaxy A55, A54, A35, and A34 smartphones, alongside the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and FE Plus, Samsung strives to democratize access to advanced search capabilities.

TM Roh, the president and head of the Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung, emphasized the company's dedication to providing cutting-edge technology, saying, "These updates open new opportunities for the Galaxy A series users and reinforce our commitment to progressive technology."

With the Circle to Search tool, users can conduct complex searches directly from the screen, reducing the need to switch applications or manually enter queries, thereby enhancing overall efficiency.

The feature also integrates capabilities such as full-page translation, homework assistance, and QR and barcode scanning, emphasizing Samsung’s commitment to enhancing user interactions.

"We're dedicated to empowering our users to work more efficiently and create freely," Roh remarked, highlighting the focus on personalization and user engagement.

Circle to Search was developed through collaboration with Google, demonstrating Samsung's commitment to innovation and teamwork within the industry.

Since its initial launch, the feature has evolved significantly, and Samsung aims to extend this tool to more devices, potentially reaching over 100 million users by 2024.

The functionality of Circle to Search remains unchanged across devices, activating with either the home button or by selecting the content directly.

Users can enjoy quick, informative search results without the hassle of switching apps, providing a fluid and seamless experience.

Circle to Search is not just limited to high-end phones; its introduction to mid-range devices reflects Samsung's strategy of making advanced technology accessible to various consumer demographics.

“We are excited to bring cutting-edge AI technology to more Galaxy users,” Roh added, underscoring the broad reach of this innovation.

With its user-friendly interface and widespread applicability, Circle to Search is anticipated to become one of the standout features for the new Galaxy A series smartphones and tablets.

This update initiates on August 22, wherein users can expect to see the arrival of the Circle to Search feature.

While availability may vary by device model and market, Samsung's efforts to provide this feature to its mid-range models signify its commitment to enhancing user experience across all levels.

It also signifies Samsung's determination to solidify its standing as a leader within the mobile technology sector, aiming for increased engagement and satisfaction among its user base.

Thus far, the reception of the Circle to Search feature has been overwhelmingly positive, hinting at Samsung’s success with this innovative tool among its users.

By continuously integrating AI enhancements, Samsung’s innovative edge extends beyond flagship devices, simplifying the tech experience across multiple platforms.
