A Russian tourist's ill-fated attempt to engage in sexual activity with a cow has become the subject of shocking news reports from Thailand. The incident, involving 26-year-old Evgenii Kuvshinov, occurred on August 15, 2024, when locals saw him naked and behaving erratically.
Kuvshinov was reportedly on holiday in Surat Thani, Thailand, when he approached the animals. Witnesses say he initially attempted to engage with a male bull before turning his focus to a female cow tied to a wooden fence.
Allegedly, he tried to mount the cow, which responded violently by goring him and pinning him to the ground. The local community, alarmed by his behavior, called the police as they heard his cries for help.
When law enforcement arrived, they found him severely injured and lying on the ground. Video footage from the scene shows Kuvshinov, who had stripped off his clothes, under attack from the brown cow.
Emergency personnel managed to rescue him and quickly transported him to Bannaderm Hospital for treatment. Doctors reported sustaining injuries primarily to his lower body, alongside several abrasions across his body.
A paramedic from the Ban Na Doem Foundation stated they suspected he was attempting to have sexual intercourse with the cow. "We found cannabis in his car, so maybe he was high," the paramedic noted.
According to Police Lieutenant Thongchai Chaikit, officials received reports about the foreign man engaged in what they termed as "an altercation" with the cow around 5:40 PM. The officer elaborated, explaining how Kuvshinov was attempting to restrain the bull by holding its head when it charged at him.
"Witnesses indicated he first approached the male cow before directing his actions toward the female. He kept walking and speaking Russian without coherence," Lieutenant Chaikit stated.
The police report confirmed there was no evidence to indicate sexual penetration had occurred as no semen was found on the cow. Nevertheless, the bizarre circumstances raised significant concern among law enforcement officials.
After receiving medical treatment, Kuvshinov allegedly exhibited erratic behavior at the hospital, causing doctors to refuse his admission. He was later taken to the local police station for questioning.
The police are cooperating with tourism and immigration authorities to investigate the entire episode thoroughly. Meanwhile, residents nearby, who initially reported the situation, are left bewildered and troubled by the incident.
