RPSC Announces RAS Prelims Exam Results 2024

Over 375,000 candidates appeared for the exam, with significant opportunities arising from increased vacancies.

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has officially released the results for the RAS (Preliminary) Exam 2024, conducted on February 2. The election for this competitive examination attracted 375,657 candidates, highlighting the intensity of the competition for government positions within the state.

The results were made available just hours after the exam, providing candidates with immediate feedback on their performance. Accompanying the results was the answer key, released the same day, which permitted candidates to assess their answers against the official responses.

This year, the RPSC has increased the number of available positions from 733 to 1,096 just days before the results were announced. This increase translates to additional opportunities for candidates to secure influential roles within the Rajasthan state government. The newly available positions include 428 for state services and 668 for subordinate services, allowing for broader recruitment.

Those candidates who successfully navigate the Preliminary Exam will advance to the Main Exam, scheduled for the weekend of June 17 and 18, 2024. Preparation for this upcoming test will be pivotal, as it is recognized as one of the most competitive examinations for government jobs within Rajasthan.

According to RPSC, the cutoff marks for the various categories have also been declared. For male candidates, the cutoff stands at 71.59%, whereas female candidates must achieve at least 69.80% to qualify for the next phase. Disturbingly, 1,680 candidates were disqualified due to not answering at least 10% of questions during the Preliminary Exam.

Significantly, two candidates had their results sealed due to pending court cases related to their applications. This indicates the continuing legal scrutiny surrounding governmental examinations and recruitment.

The RPSC has issued guidelines on how candidates can check their results, which involves visiting the official website, finding the results link, and entering their roll number and password. A total of 21,539 candidates have been declared successful, earning their spot for the main examination.

A thorough preparation aligned with the syllabus is imperative, especially considering the rigorous nature of the Main Exam. Candidates will need to strategize their study approach effectively to maximize their chances for success.

The RAS exam is regarded as one of the most honorable routes for securing government employment, attracting thousands of hopefuls each year. The recent announcement marks another milestone for aspiring government officials within Rajasthan's competitive atmosphere. With the increased number of posts, there is optimism among candidates about the chances of selection being more favorable compared to previous years.

With the results out now, candidates are responding with mixed emotions. Eagerly awaiting their fates, some rejoice their names appearing on the successful candidate list, whilst others express disappointment at the cutoff marks. The thorough vetting process under RPSC ensures only the eligible candidates qualify, maintaining the integrity of the selection process.

The RPSC has also noted the importance of writing skills and awareness of administrative systems as candidates brace themselves for the Main Exam. Candidates would do well to engage with past papers and sample questions, ensuring they are not caught off guard come exam day.

The recruitment process of RAS 2024 remains significant not only for the candidates but also for the functioning of state administration, with successful candidates poised to take pivotal positions within various departments. The results reflect not just personal achievements but contribute to the governance structure of Rajasthan.

This announcement has generated extensive discussion and excitement, particularly with the commitment of the RPSC to conduct future examinations with transparency and equality. With the new exam dates on the horizon, preparation strategies and support will undoubtedly become focal points for candidates eager to excel.
