Rosenheim-Cops Welcomes New Star Anna Ewelina

Anna Ewelina joins the series as Elisabeth Krause, drawing on her prior experience with familiar roles.

A major change is underway for the long-running Bavarian crime series Rosenheim-Cops as it welcomes new cast member Anna Ewelina. The actress, best recognized for her role as Elsa Reinhardt on Sturm der Liebe, returns to the series on March 11, 2023, to portray the character Elisabeth Krause.

Ewelina, whose career began with RTL's Unter uns, has built up quite the resume, appearing in various series and films including Die Anrheiner, Watzmann ermittelt, and once again, Sturm der Liebe. Since taking on the role of Elsa, she has become known for bringing strong, confident characters to life.

"Elsa was a confident, charismatic woman who knew exactly what she wanted – there were some parallels to me," Ewelina stated when reminiscing about her past role on Sturm der Liebe. Now, as Elizabeth Krause, she adds yet another intriguing character to her repertoire, stating, "On March 11, I will appear as 'Elisabeth Krause' and I will fall for a beautiful piece of jewelry. How it ends will naturally not be revealed!" reported by ovb-online.

This casting decision follows the trend of incorporating former Sturm der Liebe actors. Sophia Schiller, who played the malevolent Constanze von Thalheim from 2021 to 2022, now supports the veteran team of detectives as Kommissarin Astrid Schubert. Another addition, Natalie Alison, embodies the character of Sven Hansen's cousin, contributing to the series’ mix of new and familiar faces.

Schiller's transition to Rosenheim-Cops highlights the close-knit nature of the German television industry, with actors frequently crossing over between popular shows. Similarly, Alison's involvement demonstrates how the series continually seeks to engage audiences through familiar actors.

Anna Ewelina’s return to Rosenheim-Cops isn't her first rodeo with the show; she previously featured on the series back in 2015. Reflecting on her initial appearance, she recalls, "Back then it was all about Christmas - and during the summer heat, because shooting is often done out of sequence," capturing the whimsical yet challenging nature of television production.

With Ewelina’s arrival and the previous casting choices, Rosenheim-Cops hopes to maintain its appeal and reputation as one of Bavaria's favorite detective series. The combination of established actors and new storylines is poised to keep the audience captivated as the show smooths its transitions amid the ever-competitive television environment.

Viewers can expect gripping storylines coupled with underlying humor—hallmarks of the Rosenheim-Cops franchise—as it continues to evolve with new characters like Ewelina's Elisabeth Krause. The addition marks yet another chapter for the series, keeping it fresh and relevant for fans and newcomers alike.
