Romeo, son of Marcos Mion, delivered yet another emotional moment on the stage of 'Caldeirão' this Saturday, December 21. The young man's participation has become a tradition on the show, marking one year since his debut. Accompanied by his dance teacher, Mariana Pires, Romeo captivated the audience with his rendition of the classic "Dancing Queen." His performance even featured a dance move inspired by actor Will Smith, leaving Marcos Mion visibly proud.
"What a beautiful thing! You did it again," declared the emotional presenter. At the end of the program, Mion shared heartfelt words for his wife, Suzana Gullo, highlighting the importance of family. "I will never have words to thank you for everything you do for me and our family every day, tirelessly, so we can achieve our dreams. Without you by my side, I would never have made it, and it wouldn’t make sense. I love you, always and forever," said Mion.
The show marked the celebration of love and familial unity, with Romeo demonstrating his talent and joy onstage, creating a special end-of-year atmosphere filled with emotion and inspiration. A video of Romeo's performance can be viewed on Instagram.
During the Christmas special of 'Caldeirão com Mion', which aired on December 21 on TV Globo, Marcos Mion paid tribute to his son Romeo, who is 19 years old and autistic, alongside his wife, Suzana Gullo. On the show, Romeo engaged with the audience and showcased his dance skills, as highlighted by IstoÉ Gente.
"Good evening, everyone... [I’m] all dressed up because I came to shine today, here on your stage, to dance for these people. Right, audience? Do you want to see? Then let’s start; this is my dance. I'm all set here," Romeo said as he was presented by his father. With his dance teacher Mari, Romeo performed to much applause, receiving praise from judges Robson Nunes, Nany People, and Lucas Lima. "You danced incredibly well. I thought it was flawless, perfect, amazing," said the proud presenter.
At the end of the program, Mion shared a special Christmas message: "Everyone knows Jesus Christ was born on Christmas day. But not everyone realizes there, a family was formed. A father was born, a mother, symbolizing the Holy Family." He continued, "God placed His son to be cared for by two people who complete each other and chose to share their walk. This teaches us God’s plan is family. It doesn’t matter the makeup, it doesn’t matter how it is, what matters is people choosing to walk together, to raise others, pets, familial bonds."
Marcos Mion also shared what he usually tells his children: "That’s why every night I ask the same question to all my children. And I made them memorize the answer. What is family?" Romeo answered, "It’s the most important thing in the world." The presenter emphasized the significance of dance classes from teacher Mari for Romeo: "People like her make all the difference in the lives of artists with disabilities, autistic individuals, who are part of all spectrums." It’s worth recalling, Romeo had previously participated similarly on the show this year, showcasing his talent and charisma once again.
