Sheikh Abu Ishaq Al-Huwayni, renowned Salafi preacher and Islamic scholar, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the age of 68. His death occurred at his residence in Doha, Qatar, where he was receiving treatment for health complications, including a stroke he suffered just days prior.

His son, Hatem Al-Huwayni, confirmed the news through social media, expressing deep sorrow and stating, "Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we will return. My father has passed away." His heartfelt post became a platform for condolences, receiving numerous responses from friends and followers extending their prayers for the deceased and support for the grieving family.

The funeral prayers for Sheikh Al-Huwayni will be held on Tuesday, March 18, at the State Mosque, officially named the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab Mosque, after the afternoon (asr) prayer. He will be laid to rest at the Mesaimeer cemetery, which is located within the capital.

The Palestinian Scholars Association also released a statement mourning the loss of Sheikh Al-Huwayni. They described him as a "renowned scholar, educator, and authentic voice for Islam" who dedicated his life to promoting the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and the sciences of the religion. “We extend our condolences to the people of Egypt, the scholars of Egypt, as well as to the family, friends, and students of the late Sheikh," the statement declared.
