Renovations Underway For Schools In Trenque Lauquen

Major improvements lead up to the 2025 school year as local government collaborates on educational infrastructure.

The municipality of Trenque Lauquen is making significant strides with its Plan de Obras Escolares, aimed at renovating local educational facilities as part of preparations for the upcoming 2025 school year. Spearheaded by Mayor Francisco Recoulat and supported by provincial officials, the plan emphasizes the collaborative efforts between local governance and educational infrastructure authorities.

The progress can be observed across various establishments, including Escuela n.º 3, where extensive renovations are taking place after the building suffered severe damage due to fire and subsequent storms. According to Recoulat, "The significant investment was required due to the severe damage caused by fire and subsequent storms." The renovations not only aim to restore but also to modernize facilities, which is especially important for student welfare and educational standards.

While the Escuela n.º 3 requires substantial remodeling, the Colegios Secundarios, where Schools Media n.º 2 and 3 are located, have completed their renovations. Improvements there included the replacement of old plumbing systems and bathroom facilities to eliminate persistent leaking issues. The reinstatement of these amenities is viewed as imperative for maintaining conducive learning environments.

Deputy Valentín Miranda participated actively during recent inspections, stating, "We are working together actively to prioritize our schools and get them ready for the students." His involvement signifies the provincial government’s support, reflecting the importance placed on educational infrastructure.

Renovations extend beyond higher educational institutions as well. The Jardín n.º 915 is witnessing strategic additions including the construction of its own water tank. This initiative aims to reduce dependency on neighboring institutions and ensures uninterrupted water supply, thereby maintaining operational standards.

Flipping our focus to rural schools, Escuela n.º 23 “Las Tunas” is undergoing substantial upgrades, including the installation of new water systems, new flooring, and complete interior and exterior painting. Similarly, Escuela n.º 24 “Los Chañares” is having its amenities refurbished, including the installation of new fixtures for the kitchen and bathrooms.

These renovations are not merely aesthetic; they address pressing health and safety concerns within the school buildings. The strategic changes are bound to create healthier environments for the students and the community at large, thereby facilitating enhanced educational engagement.

Potential issues related to infrastructure are also being addressed across the district. The School Secondary n.º 8 is receiving repairs aimed at resolving leaks and other construction deficiencies through thorough renovations of its roof and electrical systems.

Overall, the Plan de Obras Escolares reflects Trenque Lauquen’s commitment to providing quality education facilities and creating welcoming environments for its students. The expected completion of these projects before the beginning of the academic year 2025 demonstrates both urgency and dedication from municipal and provincial authorities.

These improvements stand to benefit not only the students enrolled but also the wider community by ensuring safer and more conducive learning environments, paving the way for greater educational success and opportunity.
