Renee Gracie Claims Cheating Opponent Ruined Boxing Debut

Despite months of training, Gracie faced a chaotic match against Summer Perry that ended in disqualification.

Renee Gracie, a racing driver turned OnlyFans star, had a boxing debut to remember—though not in a good way. The 30-year-old athlete faced off against Summer Perry at the Podcast Royale Fight Night 2.0 event held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre over the weekend of April 26-27, 2025. Despite months of training, Gracie found herself in a chaotic match that quickly spiraled out of control.

Gracie, renowned for being Australia’s first full-time female Supercars driver and a two-time Bathurst 1000 competitor, was eager to showcase her skills in the boxing ring. However, upon entering the ring, she quickly realized that her opponent lacked the necessary skills and discipline. "When I got in there, I saw and noticed I was fighting someone with zero experience, who had no idea what they were doing," Gracie recounted in a TikTok video following the bout.

From the outset, Perry’s approach was aggressive and unorthodox. Instead of adhering to boxing rules, she resorted to MMA-style tactics, employing kicks, elbows, and takedown attempts. Gracie described the experience as overwhelming, stating, "When we started throwing punches, I got taken to the ground. That is when everything went out the window. When I was getting MMA'd, jiu-jitsu'd, and kicked, I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know what the next plan of action was. She was pushing me, and quite frequently trying to pull my head down."

The verbal exchanges during the fight added another layer of intensity. Gracie revealed that Perry was not only physically aggressive but also verbally abusive. "While I was getting rag-dolled and body slammed, I was getting slagged off, being called a dumb fing st," she said. "I was getting told, f you, you dirty st, f you dumb bh. I got carpet burn while being body slammed. At one stage she had me in a headlock and she was on top of me. Was she going to try choking me out? It was so crazy. While being slagged off."

As the match progressed, it became clear that Perry's tactics were crossing the line. After several infractions, the referee had no choice but to disqualify Perry in the second round, awarding Gracie the victory. However, the outcome did little to alleviate Gracie's frustration. "I’m shocked and confused. I’m really disappointed," she expressed. "I feel unaccomplished because I didn’t get to show what I’m capable of. I got dragged to a level I’m so far above it’s not funny. I got dragged down by someone else’s incompetence, and it’s really disappointing."

Gracie’s hard work in training was evident, as she had dedicated five months to prepare for this fight. "I trained so hard, I bled and cried and worked so hard. I’m proud of myself for not doing cheap shots. I’m so glad I stuck to the rules," she stated. Despite the chaos, Gracie maintained her composure, refusing to retaliate with cheap shots, which she felt would have been beneath her. "I feel like she just wanted to bash me. I took it very personally when she started to slag me off. I still think it’s personal; I don’t know if she doesn’t like me, if she doesn’t like OnlyFans girls. It was personal, it didn’t need to be, but she made it that way."

The event was not just about Gracie and Perry. It featured a lineup of influencers, comedians, and podcasters, including former NRL forward Jeremy Latimore and comedians Andrew Hamilton and Liam Moore, who all participated in various bouts. In a bizarre twist, the night also included a seven-man blindfolded brawl, which only added to the chaotic atmosphere of the evening.

Despite the disappointing fight, Gracie’s spirit remains unbroken. She expressed gratitude for her victory, emphasizing that she left the ring with her pride intact. "I retaliated; she left with a bleeding mouth and a blood nose, and I left with my pride as a winner. I’m grateful I won and got what I deserved, and she got what she deserved," Gracie concluded.

Looking ahead, Gracie is set to return to her racing roots, participating in the GT World Challenge category at Sydney Motorsport Park on May 3-4, 2025. With her boxing debut behind her, she is eager to focus on her motorsport career and continue breaking barriers as a female driver in a male-dominated industry.
