Registration Opens For DOR Program 2025 In Moldova

Youth from the diaspora and Moldova can apply for free under new program series.

Starting today, March 24, 2025, citizens of the diaspora and those within the Republic of Moldova can register for the government program DOR "Diasporă, Origini, Reveniri," the thirteenth edition of this initiative. The program traditionally takes place in August and is designed to connect young participants with their roots, encouraging cultural exchange and continuity.

The DOR program, managed by the Bureau of Relations with the Diaspora under the patronage of the Government of Moldova, aims to establish emotional connections between citizens, promote and preserve values and traditions, as reported by IPN. This initiative is significant as it seeks to bridge gaps and foster a sense of belonging among children and young people from both the diaspora and Moldova.

This year marks a new milestone for the DOR program, as it will be held in two series: the first from August 4 to August 13, and the second from August 16 to August 25. This change allows for more participants to engage and benefit from the program's offerings.

To take part in the DOR Program, interested individuals must complete an application form and send an email to [email protected], with the subject line "Concurs_Program DOR 2025". It’s essential that applicants possess communication skills in Romanian and fall within the age range of 12 to 17 years. Notably, priority will be given to candidates who have not participated in previous editions of the program, adhering to a first-come, first-served basis.

Participation in the DOR program is entirely free of charge, with the state budget covering all associated costs except for transportation to and from Moldova. This makes it accessible for many, enabling a wider array of young people to benefit from this enriching experience.

The registration window for applicants will remain open until April 27, 2025, providing ample time for interested parties to apply and secure their places in this rewarding program. The DOR program promises to be an exciting opportunity for youth to explore their heritage and connect with peers from similar backgrounds.

As the program unfolds, it is expected that participants will not only share experiences but also cultivate friendships that span geographies, enhancing their understanding of identity and community. With the continued support of the Moldovan government, initiatives like this highlight the importance of cultural preservation and the empowerment of younger generations.

For further details regarding the application process and program specifics, individuals can reach out through the designated email address. This outreach initiative underscores the government's commitment to fostering a stronger bond with its youth, both at home and abroad, while ensuring the rich cultural tapestry of Moldova is shared across generations.
