The Vietnam National University (VNU) is set to open registration for the 2025 National University Ability Assessment Exam starting tomorrow, February 23. Interested students can register through the official websites, khaothi.vnu.edu.vn or the HSA page. To efficiently manage the process, each student is allowed to choose only one exam session out of the six sessions available from February 23, 2025, to March 2, 2025. Students must pay careful attention to avoid clashes with their semester exam schedules.
Registration will conclude at 16:30 on March 2, and for those wishing to attempt the exam again, additional registration will be available from 9 AM on March 3 until 14 days before the official exam dates. The exam sessions are scheduled between March 15 and May 18, 2025, across various locations including Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, and Thanh Hoa.
Each session allows up to 10,000 students, with specific capacities detailed for each. For example, the first session will accept 10,000 participants, followed by sessions two through six capped at 15,000 participants each, reflecting the demand for this important examination.
To avoid the issues experienced last year with network congestion, VNU is implementing technology upgrades. This year, they have improved their information technology infrastructure and contracted with major cloud service providers to handle approximately 200,000 registration attempts smoothly.
The registration fee for the exam is set at 600,000 VND, which is non-refundable under any circumstances. Students are urged to carefully read the guidelines and think critically before submitting their fee. After completing registration, students must pay the fee online within 96 hours; failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of their exam session.
Once registered, candidates will receive their exam confirmations via email one week prior to the exam date, with results available 14 days post-exam. Certificates of examination results will be mailed out based on the address and number provided during registration.
The exam comprises three main sections: two mandatory parts focusing on Mathematics and Literature, each containing 50 questions, followed by 50 optional questions from either Science or English. Each part will have questions formatted to include one non-scoring experimental question, and the test takes about 195 to 199 minutes total.
Students look forward to this significant assessment, which plays a key role in their university admission chances. With clear guidelines and improved registration processes, the Vietnam National University aims to streamline this year's examination experience.
