Reebok Signs Kevin Álvarez As New Brand Ambassador

The three-time Liga MX champion aims to inspire young fans through a fresh partnership with Reebok.

In a significant move for the sportswear industry in Mexico, Reebok has officially signed Kevin Álvarez, a prominent soccer player and three-time Liga MX champion, as its new brand ambassador. This partnership, announced on March 29, 2025, aims to enhance Reebok's presence in the Mexican market and strengthen its ties with key players in the national soccer scene.

Kevin Álvarez, known for his dynamic playing style and substantial influence among younger fans, boasts over 2.6 million followers on Instagram. His selection as Reebok's ambassador marks a notable return for the brand, which has not collaborated with an active Mexican player since the 1990s and 2000s. "In Reebok, we are very proud to have Kevin Álvarez as a distinguished member of our team, who will be a fundamental player in reaffirming the importance of soccer for the brand and sports fashion as a lifestyle that sets trends today," said Mario Olvera, the general director of Reebok Mexico.

Álvarez expressed his enthusiasm for joining Reebok, stating, "I am very happy to be part of Reebok, such an important and iconic sports brand. A new stage begins that excites me for everything we are thinking of doing, and I hope to motivate everyone to fulfill their dreams, just as I once dreamed of doing." This partnership will see Álvarez serve as the official image for Reebok's soccer category, as well as for its Classics and Performance campaigns, where he will showcase standout products while blending them with his unique and stylish flair.

Kevin Álvarez, 26, hails from Colima and made his debut in Liga MX with Club de Fútbol Pachuca on August 16, 2019. After five seasons with Pachuca, he currently plays as a defender for Club América, one of Mexico's most prestigious soccer clubs. At Club América, he has participated in 43 league matches and three international tournaments, accumulating over 3,000 minutes of playtime. His impressive track record and growing popularity make him an ideal representative for Reebok as the brand seeks to solidify its standing in the competitive sportswear market.

Reebok's strategy includes collaborating with influential figures in Mexican soccer, aiming to resonate with fans and players alike. The brand's focus on authenticity and connection with the sport is expected to yield fruitful results as they prepare for a resurgence in the Mexican soccer scene. As Álvarez embarks on this new journey with Reebok, fans can anticipate innovative campaigns and fresh ideas that reflect the evolving landscape of sports fashion.

In a related story, Valeria Aguilar, the ex-girlfriend of Kevin Álvarez, recently made headlines herself by revealing personal experiences during an interview on March 29, 2025. Aguilar, who is both an engineer and a professional dancer, shared details about the indecent proposals she has received, rejecting offers that ranged from $1,500 to $2,000 for private dances. "Yes, I have been offered money; there are people who confuse us with those who dedicate ourselves to dance," Aguilar stated, emphasizing her refusal to accept such proposals.

Aguilar, who has 90,000 followers on Instagram, previously dated Álvarez while he was playing for CD Motagua. Their relationship garnered media attention due to Aguilar's status as a recognized dancer in Honduras. During the interview, she also disclosed her background in sports, mentioning that she had been training as an assistant referee for about two and a half years before pausing her efforts to focus on her studies.

Reflecting on her time in officiating, Aguilar said, "I debuted in Liga Departamental; it was a moment of mixed feelings." She recalled the challenges of balancing her training with academic commitments, noting, "It seems unbelievable, but referee training is more demanding than what footballers do."

When asked about invitations from players on the Honduran national team, Aguilar responded, "Ujummmm, they invite me out, but I don’t respond. Over time, I learned many things about how the world of footballers, dancers, and singers operates; it’s a matter of 'Oh my God.'" She expressed that dating individuals from this environment has provided her with numerous experiences and insights.

Despite her past relationship with Álvarez, Aguilar made it clear that she is currently single and not interested in dating anyone, stating, "I am not available; I am not interested in meeting anyone; I am not talking to anyone. Don’t waste your time." This candid revelation adds another layer to the narrative surrounding the lives of public figures in the sports and entertainment industries.

As Reebok and Kevin Álvarez embark on their new partnership, the spotlight remains on both the brand's efforts to reinvigorate its presence in the sports market and Aguilar’s journey as she navigates her professional and personal life. Fans and followers alike are sure to keep a close watch on the developments from both sides, eager to see how these stories unfold in the coming months.
