Realme Introduces World's Fastest Smartphone Charger

Charge your smartphone fully in just four and half minutes with the new 320W SuperSonic technology

Realme has made headlines by introducing the world's fastest smartphone charging technology, the 320W SuperSonic Charge, which promises to fully charge a device within just four and a half minutes. Unveiled at the Realme 828 Fanfest event held on August 14, 2024, this groundbreaking technology outpaces the previous record set by Redmi, which charged its devices with 300W technology.

Francis Wong, head of product marketing at Realme, emphasized the importance of catering to the needs of young users, stating, "To be a tech brand for today's youth, we need products built for speed and efficiency." Underlining this ethos, the SuperSonic Charge can power up to 26% of battery life within the first minute.

The technology features advanced mechanisms, including multiple parallel charging processes. This involves charging several battery cells simultaneously, substantially reducing charging times compared to typical sequential charging methods.

Realme’s innovation includes what they call the quad-cell battery. It consists of four compact battery cells, each only 3mm thick, stacked within each other to yield 4,420mAh of capacity, providing users with 10% more capacity over standard designs.

Customers can enjoy the benefits of this astonishing speed using the new 'Pocket Cannon' charging brick. This compact power adapter boasts impressive specifications, offering power density of 3.3 watts per cubic inch, much higher than the company's previous 240W charger.

Alongside practical efficiency, the SuperSonic Charge system is engineered for safety, receiving accolades for incorporating the world's first "AirGap" voltage transformer. This innovative component uses contact-free electromagnetic technology to reduce high voltages to safer levels, ensuring device protection during rapid charging.
