Reacher Returns: New Enemies And Allies Await

The third season introduces fresh faces and intense challenges for the beloved vigilante hero.

Jack Reacher is back, and it seems our heroic hunk is facing perhaps his toughest adversary yet: An even bigger guy!

Indeed, the marquee fights this season feature the jacked hero Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) squaring off against the enormous bodyguard Paulie (Olivier Richters). But that's only part of the challenge; there are additional obstacles, including Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall), a charismatic antagonist, and Quinn (Brian Tee), who brings dark secrets from Reacher's past. A DEA agent, Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassidy), also complicates things as she questions Reacher's unconventional methods.

According to Prime Video, the third season follows Reacher as he "hurtles down the dark heart of vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There he finds secrecy and violence—and confronts some unfinished business from his own past." Like the previous seasons, most characters from the first two seasons have been replaced by new faces, according to Variety, which broke down the (mostly) new roster for Season 3.

Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson)

Everyone knows this guy! Performing as the stoic, hunky hero, he remains the primary connective tissue between seasons. Ritchson brings his muscle and charm to this continued role. Other performances of note: "Fast X," "Blue Mountain State," "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare."

Frances Neagley (Maria Sten)

Reacher's best friend, Frances Neagley, is the only character to have appeared across all three seasons. She has garnered such popularity she's now set to star in her own spin-off series, which just began filming. Previously, she was seen in "Channel Zero: The Dream Door" and "Swamp Thing."

Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassidy)

Duffy could be more than just another facet of law enforcement for Reacher. Described as “an extremely intelligent and tough DEA agent from Boston with sharp humor,” she's bound to become notable this season. Cassidy has previously appeared in shows like "The Man Who Fell to Earth" and "Lodge 49."

Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall)

Anthony Michael Hall takes on the role of Zachary Beck, who, on the surface, is merely the owner of a legitimate rug import company. But it’s suspected of concealing more nefarious activities. Hall's portrayal kicks up the tension as Reacher digs for the truth. His acting credits include “Sixteen Candles,” “The Breakfast Club,” and “Halloween Kills.”

Paulie (Olivier Ritchers)

Paulie is the mountain of muscle who menaces Reacher; the bodyguard, known as “The Dutch Giant,” towers at 7'2” and weighs 342lbs, holding the Guinness World Record as the tallest active actor and bodybuilder. He presents the perfect physical challenge for the already large Jack Reacher. His resume also includes appearances like "The King’s Man" and "Black Widow."

Quinn (Brian Tee)

Brian Tee steps back onto screens portraying Quinn, who has forged a troubled history tied to Reacher. Formerly Military Intelligence, Quinn’s dark past adds layers of complexity as old demons resurface. Tee’s other notable works include "Chicago Med" and "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift."

Richard Beck (Johnny Berchtold)

Richard Beck, portrayed by Johnny Berchtold, is the son of Zachary Beck and plays an integral role in the DEA investigation, showcasing yet another character with connections pulling strings behind the scenes. He's featured in titles like "Tiny Beautiful Things" and "The Passenger."

Guillermo Villanueva (Roberto Montesinos)

Finally, we have Guillermo, described as “gruff but loveable,” nearing retirement as another key DEA agent character. Montesinos has had his share of roles, appearing primarily on television, including "9-1-1: Lone Star" and "We Bought a Zoo."

Season 3 of "Reacher" is set to ramp up tension as Jack navigates through this new roster of characters, blending fights with cunning intelligence, all to save lives and perhaps save himself along the way. With the return of fan-favorite characters alongside new faces, this season promises plenty of action and interpersonal drama.
