Rapper Landy Arrested In Burglary Of YouTuber's Home

The investigation takes shape as suspicions grow surrounding organized theft targeting online influencers.

Two men have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the burglary of YouTuber L'inotag's house, marking a significant breakthrough in the case which has garnered public attention. The arrests were made on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, by police in Seine-Saint-Denis, with one of the suspects being Gahoussou Sylla, widely known as the rapper Landy.

The burglary occurred on November 6, 2024, at L'inotag's property located in Poissy, Yvelines, which he had rented out to friends. At the time, L'inotag was away and had no idea his home was being targeted. He expressed his sentiments on social media, stating, "They broke the window with a crowbar, after having looked around this morning calmly, they didn't take anything important, I don't know exactly what they were looking for." His comments highlight not only the shocking nature of the crime but also his relief at not losing anything of significant value.

Reports reveal the burglars stole some Pokémon cards—a popular item among collectors—as well as computer equipment, resulting in estimated damages around 10,000 euros. The police confirmed the precise focus on technological items, underscoring the calculated nature of the break-in.

Despite this being L'inotag's second brush with burglaries within six months, having already suffered another theft during his climb of Mount Everest earlier in 2024, where numerous sneakers and watches were taken, he remains active on social media. His significant following, close to 9 million subscribers on YouTube alone, keeps his audience updated about his personal and professional endeavours.

Landy, the rapper arrested, is known to law enforcement, having previous convictions for violent crimes and drug trafficking. At just 29 years old, he has established himself within the rap scene, working with renowned artists like Gazo and Kaaris. Following this incident, many discussions online have revolved around the potential motives behind targeting the YouTuber.

On March 18, the arrest of Landy and another 28-year-old man—who is also reportedly known to law enforcement—indicated progress in the organized crime aspect of the investigation. The police were quick to respond to rumors circulating about the artist's connections to the burglary.

Sources indicate the organized theft from L'inotag's home had already led to suspicions circling around Landy months before the arrest. Investigators from the Brigade of Repression of Banditry were tasked with leading the case, which emphasizes the seriousness of the crime.

L'inotag’s unfortunate string of burglaries has amplified public interest, prompting discussions about the risks influencers face with their growing prominence on platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, where he has over 6.4 million followers. It challenges the conversation around security for high-profile individuals.

Previous incidents related to Pokémon card thefts demonstrate rising trends among criminals targeting collectibles. Incidents of this nature have occurred across borders, characterized by significant value; some collections once valued over 100,000 euros have been reported lost to theft.

L’inotag's story reminds us of the reluctant realities of fame where public figures must balance their online presence and personal safety. His rise to fame through compelling content, such as his Everest climb—documented and viewed over 42 million times on YouTube—serves as both a triumph and another piece of his narrative affected by crime.

Despite the turbulence of recent months, L’inoxtag continues to remain resilient, assuring fans of his safety following these unsettling events. His experience resonates not only with the influencer community but also with general audiences, reflecting on how rapid notoriety can invite unforeseen challenges.
