Allahbadia disclosed, "A casual, fun dip in the waves was interrupted by an underwater current... The next thing we knew was we were both struggling to stay afloat." Describing the challenging moments, Allahbadia admitted, "There was a point where I swallowed a lot of water and started fading away. That's when I decided to shout for help." This call for assistance led to their rescue by the timely intervention of nearby swimmers, including the family of an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and his wife, who is part of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS).
