RANEPA Celebrates Student Achievements and Honors During Key Events

The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) is steadily making headlines as students at its various branches participate and excel at significant competitions and events throughout the academic year.

One of the latest academic highlights is the upcoming regional foreign language olympiad hosted by the Altai branch of RANEPA, aimed at engaging students from higher education and vocational institutions across the Altai region. The olympiad, comprised of two stages—remote and face-to-face—invites participants to register online through RANEPA’s educational platform and participate from January 9 to January 22, when they will complete tests covering grammar, reading, and listening skills.

After the initial remote testing, the top fifteen scorers will advance to the face-to-face stage scheduled for February 6 at 13:30 local time, where participants will demonstrate their speaking abilities through prepared and impromptu speeches. This event not only showcases the linguistic talents of students but also emphasizes RANEPA’s dedication to fostering proficiency and confidence in foreign languages among its attendees.

Participants interested in the olympiad can find more information and registration details through the academy's official channels, including contact persons like Tatyana Raikina and Olga Afanasyeva from the Foreign Languages Department at the Altai branch.

Meanwhile, the institution also celebrated student achievements through annual awards recognizing outstanding performances. This year, five students from RANEPA's Moscow branch and thirty from its regional branches were honored for their academic excellence. The awards ceremony was graced by the presence of RANEPA’s rector, Alexey Komissarov, who personally congratulated the winners.

Among the notable recipients was Anastasia Grun, a fourth-year law student from the Karelia branch. Renowned for her active engagement and successes across various educational competitions, Grun has not only contributed to her branch but has also emerged victorious in national educational, research, and public outreach contests. Reflecting on her achievements, she remarked, "Being included among the winners and participating in the awards ceremony reaffirmed the importance of striving for new heights and continuously enhancing one's knowledge and competencies." Her accomplishments serve as inspiration for fellow students aiming for excellence and recognition.

Adding to RANEPA’s growing list of achievements, the Altai branch secured first place during the recent Regional Universiade, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports of the Altai region. This annual competition features numerous sports and is seen as the quintessential stage for aspiring student-athletes. RANEPA's sports club, led by fourth-year public administration student Yana Serbina, not only showcased athletic prowess but also engaged with high-level competition from other regional institutions.

The Universiade this year targeted 21 different sports, with approximately 2,500 athletes representing 11 educational organizations across the region. This high level of participation and the intense competition underline the importance of such events for nurturing the competitive spirit and skills of young athletes. Serbina expressed pride as she received the award from Ivan Nifontov, the Altai region's Minister of Sports, emphasizing the excitement and commitment to sports displayed by her fellow students.

These various endeavors and the achievements of RANEPA students not only highlight the institution's focus on academic and extracurricular excellence but also signify the broader commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals prepared to contribute meaningfully to society.
