Ranchi University is set to celebrate its 37th convocation ceremony on March 15, 2024. This prestigious event will award degrees to students who have successfully passed their examinations between February 1, 2023, and January 31, 2024. The anticipation surrounding the event is palpable, as top students from various programs will be recognized for their academic excellence.
The university previously released the names of 75 toppers who will receive gold medals. Among the standout performers is Anuradha Kumari, who excelled as the top student of the B.Ed. program, and Prerna Srivastava, who topped the Nursing program for the academic session of 2021-2023. They will be honored with gold medals during the ceremony.
"Anuradha Kumari and Prerna Srivastava have excelled, representing the best of our academic community," stated the university spokesperson, emphasizing the prestigious nature of their achievements. The ceremony will not only recognize these scholars but also showcase the hard work and dedication of the entire student body over the years.
The conferral of degrees is seen as not just the culmination of students’ academic pursuits, but also as recognition of the time and effort invested by faculty members who guided them along the way. Dr. BP Sinha, who previously served as the director of Radio Khanchi, spoke about the importance of these achievements, highlighting how every degree awarded reflects years of perseverance. "The degrees awarded reflect years of hard work and dedication from our students," he affirmed during his tenure as the director of Radio Khanchi.
Notably, the event will open with addresses from university officials, celebrating not just the individual triumphs of students like Kumari and Srivastava but also the collective spirit of excellence at Ranchi University.
Despite the excitement of the upcoming convocation, the university is also facing administrative changes, such as Dr. BP Sinha's resignation from his role as director of Radio Khanchi. This resignation, driven by personal reasons, has left a mark on the community, as Sinha has been instrumental not just in radio communications but also as part of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the university.
"I am proud to present gold medals to our toppers," expressed the university chancellor, underscoring the significance of the ceremony. The awards serve to inspire future cohorts, promoting academic excellence and innovative thinking among students.
