Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Exam Results Announced Today

Over 14 lakh candidates registered for the REET exam, with pass rates showing significant improvement this year.

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has officially announced the results of the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Examination (REET) 2024 on May 8, 2025. The results were revealed during a press conference led by Board Administrator Mahesh Chandra Sharma at 3:15 PM, marking a significant moment for over 14 lakh candidates who registered for the exam.

This year, the REET examination was conducted on February 27 and 28, 2025, in three shifts, accommodating a total of 14,29,822 candidates. Among these, 3,46,626 registered for Level 1, which is aimed at primary teachers, and 9,68,502 for Level 2, designed for secondary teachers. The overall attendance was notably high, with 3,14,195 candidates appearing for Level 1 and 8,79,671 for Level 2.

According to the official results, the pass percentage has seen a remarkable increase compared to previous years. In Level 1, 62.33% of candidates were successful, while Level 2 recorded a pass percentage of 44.69%. Overall, 50.77% of candidates successfully cleared the exam this year, a significant rise from the 55% and 39% pass rates in the 2021 examination for Levels 1 and 2, respectively.

Specifically, 195,847 candidates succeeded in Level 1, while 393,124 candidates passed Level 2. Additionally, a total of 47,097 candidates were successful across both levels. This increase in successful candidates reflects a growing interest in teaching careers among the youth in Rajasthan.

Education Minister Madan Dilawar took to social media to congratulate the successful candidates, stating, "Heartfelt congratulations to all successful candidates and best wishes for a bright future." This acknowledgment from the minister highlights the importance of these results in shaping the educational landscape of the state.

To check their results, candidates can visit the official websites, rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in or reet2024.co.in. The process involves logging into their accounts using their registration number and password. Once logged in, candidates can view and download their scorecards for future reference.

The RBSE has implemented a scaling normalization method in the results due to the examination being conducted across multiple shifts. This method ensures that all candidates are evaluated fairly, regardless of the timing of their exam. Candidates can also access the final answer key, which was released on March 25, 2025, and they had until March 31 to raise objections.

Looking ahead, successful candidates will need to participate in a separate teacher recruitment examination to secure teaching positions, which will be organized by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. This main examination is scheduled to take place in January 2026, and the syllabus for the recruitment exam has already been released.

For candidates to qualify, the passing marks vary by category: General candidates must achieve 60%, while SC, OBC, MBC, and EWS candidates need at least 55%. Ex-servicemen and widows require a minimum of 50%, while candidates from the PWD category must secure 40%. The Sahariya tribe candidates have a lower threshold, needing just 36% to qualify.

This year's REET examination saw a total of 1,544,518 applications, indicating a strong interest in teaching careers among the youth in Rajasthan. The increase in the number of registered candidates and the higher pass percentages demonstrate a positive trend in educational aspirations.

In conclusion, the announcement of the REET results marks a pivotal moment for aspiring teachers in Rajasthan, providing a pathway to secure teaching positions in the state. With the successful candidates now preparing for the next steps in their career journeys, the educational landscape in Rajasthan looks set for continued growth and development.
