Rai Television has announced notable changes to its programming schedule, effective immediately, bringing fresh content and exciting adaptations to its viewers.
RAI 2 is set to shuffle its late-night offerings. Instead of the usual start time, the show Generazione Z will now air at 00:25, pushing I Lunatici to 01:30. Following this, viewers can enjoy the film Madonna che silenzio c'è stasera at 03:40. According to the schedule update, RAI 1 will maintain its current programming without alterations.
On RAI 3, significant adjustments are rolling out. The much-anticipated fiction special, ANTONIA, will kick off at 00:05, replacing Un giorno per, which was initially scheduled for 00:15. This change is part of RAI’s strategy to offer viewers more varied content during prime time.
Adding to their lineup, RAI will showcase Viva Puccini, airing on January 1st at prime time on RAI 3. The event, created by Beatrice Venezi and Angelo Bozzolini and hosted by Bianca Guaccero, intends to portray the legendary composer Giacomo Puccini not merely as the face of Italian opera but as a timeless figure who transcends musical genres.
Guaccero states, “Puccini’s music revolutionized melodrama, but it is his life story—full of passions, fragility, and love for beauty—that we aim to share with our viewers.” The event will present Puccini’s multifaceted persona through live orchestral performances featuring the acclaimed Maestro Beatrice Venezi and arrangements by Francesco Antonioni, blending classical material with contemporary styles.
Throughout the evening, audiences will be treated to direct musical interpretations, creating an immersive experience. The event is set to welcome various guest stars from diverse artistic realms, including Enrico Stinchelli, Gianmarco Tognazzi, Malika Ayane, and Frida Bollani.
RAI aims to captivate audiences through these programming shifts, blending classic and contemporary, responding to viewer interests. With these changes, the network hopes to invigorate its platform and contribute to its longstanding tradition of quality entertainment.
