Rai 1 Celebrates New Year's Eve 2025 From Reggio Calabria

An exciting night of music and entertainment awaits audiences as the concert features top Italian artists and hosts.

On New Year's Eve, Rai 1 will host the much-anticipated concert "L'Anno che Verrà" at the scenic Lungomare Italo Falcomatà in Reggio Calabria, celebrating the arrival of 2025. The event, which begins at 21:00 after the traditional end-of-year address by Italian President Sergio Mattarella, will be led by Marco Liorni, taking over hosting duties from Amadeus.

The concert aims to entertain with performances from some of Italy’s most beloved artists, including J-Ax, Anna Oxa, Diodato, and many more who are ready to light up the stage. The show promises to blend music and comedy, making it suitable for audiences of all ages, offering the perfect backdrop for welcoming the New Year.

With over four hours of entertainment planned, the evening will kick off with the iconic song “L’anno che verrà” by Lucio Dalla, performed by Diodato as the opening act. The program will then feature various renowned artists, reflecting on both classic and contemporary Italian music, with performances scheduled from the likes of Ricchi e Poveri, Cristiano Malgioglio, and Clementino.

Marco Liorni expressed his excitement for the role, emphasizing the opportunity to guide viewers through such a significant moment. “It’s not just about fun,” he noted; “it’s also about reflecting on the past and what lies ahead.” This sentiment resonates throughout the event, inviting the audience to celebrate not only the New Year's arrival but also the enduring spirit of Italian culture.

Along with the musical performances, humor will play its part through the comedy sketches from beloved personalities such as Nino Frassica, which adds to the festive atmosphere. The mix of established stars and new talents aims to create synergy among different generations, appealing to families and friends gathering to watch the show.

This year’s event stands as more than just entertainment; it's also part of a tradition fueling national pride and unity during the seasonal celebrations. The unique charm of Reggio Calabria, with its historical backdrop and picturesque seaside, provides the perfect setting, enhancing the allure of the broadcast.

For those unable to attend, the concert will be streamed live on RaiPlay and broadcast simultaneously on Rai Radio 1, ensuring no one misses out on the festive joy. This multiplatform approach underlines the event's significance, embracing modern technology to connect with audiences across various media.

While Rai 1 prepares for its grand show, it faces competition from Mediaset’s "Capodanno in musica," hosted by Federica Panicucci. Yet, both networks symbolize Italy’s rich cultural broadcasting, offering unique experiences to usher in the New Year.

Rai 1's New Year's Eve gala, "L'Anno che Verrà," is not only about celebrating 2025 but also serves as a reminder of the shared experiences and resilience throughout the past year. It's set to be a night filled with cherished memories, laughter, and music, wrapping up the year with harmony and joy.
