Radio Capital Launches Live Music Series Capital Jam

A new format combines live performances and intimate talks at Teatro Oscar this March.

Radio Capital is set to transition from the airwaves to the stage with its new live format, "Capital Jam," launching on March 6, 2025. This innovative series blends music with engaging conversations, creating a unique experience for audiences at the Teatro Oscar in Milan.

Scheduled for three dates—March 6, 19, and 26—each evening will showcase two prominent singer-songwriters along with discussions featuring well-known personalities from the entertainment world who share their passion for music. Conducted by Luca De Gennaro, who is known for his deep connection to the music scene, the events promise to be both entertaining and enlightening.

Among the artists already confirmed to perform are popular bands and musicians—Negrita and Francesca Michielin on March 6, Lucio Corsi and Joan Thiele on March 19, and Baustelle and Tiromancino on March 26. These artists are set to participate not just in performances but also engaging jam sessions, allowing for spontaneous musical interactions and shared stories, eleviating the live experience.

Linus, the editorial and artistic director of Radio Capital, expressed enthusiasm for this venture, stating, “Capital Jam is a project centered on music, or rather 'Only Beautiful Music,' to paraphrase our new slogan, but without sacrificing unique and unprecedented storytelling about this art form.” He stressed the initiative as integral to celebrating the connection music fosters among people, signifying Radio Capital’s commitment to enriching its audience’s experience.

The concept of "Capital Jam" aims to enrich the connection between the artists and the audience—lifting the veil on their backgrounds, inspirations, and the creative process behind their work. Not only will fans enjoy live performances, but they will also gain insights and anecdotes from the artists themselves, fostering intimacy between performer and audience.

Luca De Gennaro shared his excitement about bringing the music and stories of Radio Capital to the theater. He mentioned, “Radio Capital has always been the radio of great music and its protagonists. Each day, we see how our audience craves the beauty of music, wanting to not just hear it but to experience it live.” With De Gennaro at the helm, alongside various Radio Capital speakers and the remarkable seven-piece band led by Vittorio Cosma, attendees can expect top-quality performances filled with improvisations and unique arrangements.

Audience members can anticipate approximately one and-a-half hours of themed shows, where each evening will highlight diverse musical narratives and artistry from Italy's rich musical fabric. This format not only showcases established artists but also embraces newer talents who contribute to the vibrant music scene.

The events commence at 9:00 PM, allowing attendees to indulge fully in this cultural experience. This new venture marks Radio Capital’s first foray outside its traditional studio environment, providing fans with dynamic live settings where music and storytelling intertwine seamlessly.

The first event, which features Negrita and Francesca Michielin, promises to be particularly notable as these artists are well-loved for their distinctive styles and contributions to the music industry. Following their performance is the March 19 event featuring Lucio Corsi and Joan Thiele, both of whom have gained acclaim for their unique musical perspectives.

The finale on March 26 will spotlight Baustelle and Tiromancino, two leading names within the Italian music scene. Known for their lyrical depth and engaging performances, they will surely captivate the audience, making for the perfect culmination of the series.

Anticipation for this series is palpable, with many fans eager to witness the unique format. By merging emotional storytelling with high-energy musical performances, "Capital Jam" offers not only entertainment but also the chance to engage with the art of music on a more personal level.

Theatergoers can purchase their tickets from €20 onwards, with more information available through the official ticket outlets. For anyone passionate about music, this is set to be one of the most exciting cultural events of the year.
