Qatar Airways Advances Collaborations For Customer Loyalty And Education

Recently announced initiatives aim to boost customer rewards and strengthen aeronautics education partnership.

Qatar Airways has recently strengthened its partnerships through two significant initiatives, aimed at enhancing customer benefits and advancing education within the aviation sector.

Firstly, Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) has announced a new promotional offer for its customers, collaborating with Qatar Airways Privilege Club. This promotion grants customers who redeem their QIIB points between February 1 and February 28, 40% additional Avios points, benefiting from the bank's loyalty program. Khalid Abdul Rahman Al Shaibei, Head of Business Development at QIIB, stated, “We are always pleased to collaborate with Qatar Airways Privilege Club. Our partnership has been long-standing, and we have successfully launched numerous joint campaigns.” This initiative allows customers to boost their Avios balance, which can be redeemed for flight redemptions with Qatar Airways and its Oneworld alliance partners, as well as for hotel stays, shopping, and Qatar Airways Holidays packages.

The collaboration is timely as it coincides with the upcoming Holy Month of Ramadan, providing customers the perfect opportunity to plan for the Eid holiday. Al Shaibei elaborated on this sentiment, saying, “We are committed to ensuring our customers receive the best benefits and rewards because they deserve it.” He highlighted how QIIB continues to expand its point redemption options, bridging more valuable rewards through its loyalty program. This includes the flexibility to convert points not only to Avios but also to various travel packages and services.

On another front, Qatar Airways has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST), alongside leading firms Airbus, École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC), and ISAE-SUPAERO. This collaboration seeks to bolster aeronautics education and industry partnerships by developing new academic programs and research initiatives.

Under this agreement, the five signatory institutions aim to create both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees focused on aeronautics as well as specialized training courses. They anticipate jointly organizing events including conferences, seminars, and workshops to promote knowledge sharing within the domain.

The MoU also includes plans for facilitating faculty and student exchanges. These initiatives will afford students practical insights from leaders within the aerospace industry, tying academic frameworks to real-world applications. UDST is recognized for its dedicated approach to applied learning, aiming to prepare students effectively for the job market.

According to the agreement, Airbus and Qatar Airways will synergize their resources and expertise to align educational outcomes with industrial needs. Airbus, renowned for its innovation and manufacturing prowess, promises to deliver valuable insights on technological advancements, whereas Qatar Airways will leverage its operational strengths to enrich the program.

This partnership marks a significant step toward preparing the next generation of aviation professionals. Qatar Airways and its partners are not only committed to enhancing aeronautics education but are also deeply invested in fostering collaborations across academia and industry.

Overall, these initiatives by Qatar Airways and its partners reflect strong commitments to customer loyalty and the imperative to nurture talent within the aviation sector, ensuring future growth and operational excellence.
