The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is set to unveil the results for the Class 10 examinations by April 30, 2025, as anticipation builds among over 300,000 students across the state. The board conducted the Class 10 exams from March 10 to April 4, 2025, and is now in the final stages of result processing.
As students eagerly await their scores, they can access their results through the official website, pseb.ac.in. This year, the board has also provided an alternative method for checking results via SMS, allowing students to receive their scores directly on their mobile devices.
To view their results online, students should follow these steps:
- Visit the official website, pseb.ac.in
- Click on the “Results” tab on the homepage
- Select the “Matriculation Examination Result 2025” link
- Enter your roll number or name
- Click “Find Results” to view your marks
- Download and save your marksheet for future reference
Alternatively, students can check their results via SMS by typing "PB10 Roll Number" and sending it to 5676750.
The provisional marksheet will include essential details such as the student’s name, roll number, parents’ names, school details, subject-wise marks and grades, total marks, CGPA, and result status (pass/fail). Original marksheets will be distributed at schools shortly after the online results are published.
In 2024, the PSEB Class 10 results were announced on April 18, with a remarkable pass percentage of 97.24%. The top achievers included Aditi from Ludhiana, who achieved a perfect score of 100%, and Alisha Sharma, who secured 99.23%. Given the timely exam schedule this year, a similar or slightly earlier result date is anticipated.
As the results are released, students should verify all information on their marksheets and reach out to school authorities if any discrepancies arise. This year’s results will significantly impact students as they transition to Class 11, determining their stream selections in Science, Commerce, or Arts and influencing eligibility for scholarships or entrance tests.
After the announcement of results, the PSEB will also release details regarding re-evaluation and rechecking application forms, along with supplementary exam information if necessary, which is expected to follow in May 2025.
In addition to the Class 10 results, the PSEB is also preparing to announce the Class 12 results, which are likely to be released on April 30, 2025. The Class 12 exams were conducted from February 19 to April 4, 2025, and students can expect similar procedures for checking their results.
For the Class 12 examinations, the past year saw a pass percentage of 93.04%, with a total of 2,84,452 students participating, of which 2,64,662 students passed. The top scorer in 2024 was Ekampreet Singh from BCM Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana, who achieved a perfect 100% score. The pass percentages for girls and boys were 95.74% and 90.74%, respectively.
To pass the exams, students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject. In subjects that include both practical and theory components, students must pass both components separately.
As the countdown to the results continues, students are encouraged to stay calm and ensure they have their credentials ready for the result day. The PSEB has yet to officially confirm the exact release date and time for the results, but sources indicate that the announcements will likely come soon.
In summary, the PSEB 10th and 12th results for 2025 are poised to be significant milestones for students in Punjab. As they prepare for the next stages of their academic journeys, the results will not only reflect their hard work but also shape their future educational paths.
