Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Launches On Mobile April 14

Ubisoft's mobile adaptation brings the action-adventure classic to smartphones with new features and accessibility enhancements.

Ubisoft is set to expand the reach of its latest title, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, by launching a mobile version for Android and iOS users on April 14, 2025. Originally released on consoles and Windows in January 2024, the mobile adaptation promises to deliver the same thrilling experience in the palm of players' hands.

The game, set against the enchanting backdrop of the mythical realm of Mount Qaf, invites players to assume the role of Sargon, a young Persian warrior from the elite group known as The Immortals. Sargon’s quest is to rescue the abducted Prince Ghassan and restore harmony to a land that has been engulfed in darkness and chaos.

According to Ubisoft Da Nang, the studio responsible for the mobile version, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has been specifically tailored for mobile devices. The game will support up to 60 frames per second, ensuring smooth gameplay on most modern smartphones. Players will have the option to enjoy the game offline, a feature that enhances accessibility for those who may not always have internet access.

For control preferences, players can choose between using external gamepads or the built-in touch interface. The game offers full customization for touch controls, allowing users to resize, reposition, and adjust the transparency of on-screen buttons. This level of personalization is designed to enhance the gaming experience, making it easier for players to engage with the action.

In addition to customizable controls, the mobile edition includes several quality-of-life enhancements. Features such as auto-potion use, automatic parrying, and time-slowing mechanics have been integrated to cater to mobile gameplay, allowing players to focus on the adventure without being bogged down by complex controls.

Accessibility is a key aspect of the mobile adaptation. The Eye of the Wanderer feature lets players take screenshots and pin them on the map as visual cues, aiding navigation through the game’s expansive environments. Furthermore, the game includes customizable difficulty settings and platforming assistance to ensure a smoother experience for a wide range of players, from novices to seasoned gamers.

Ubisoft has also announced the pricing details for the mobile version. In selected global markets, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be available for EUR 14.99 (approximately Rs. 1,400). However, players can take advantage of a special launch price of EUR 9.99 (around Rs. 900) for the first three weeks following its release. This promotional pricing strategy is aimed at attracting new players to the franchise.

Players can pre-register for the game through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, allowing them to enjoy a free trial of the game’s introduction upon launch. This pre-registration option not only builds anticipation but also provides an opportunity for players to dive into the game right away.

The narrative of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is designed to engage players with its rich storytelling and immersive gameplay. As Sargon, players will navigate through various challenges and adversaries, employing their skills to rescue the prince and restore peace to the land. The game’s combination of action-adventure elements and Metroidvania-style exploration is expected to resonate with fans of the genre.

In March 2025, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown joined the PS Plus Game Catalog alongside other titles like UFC 5, significantly broadening its audience reach. This strategic move not only enhances visibility but also allows more players to experience the game on different platforms.

Ubisoft’s commitment to innovation is evident as they continue to explore new projects, including potential adaptations of other beloved franchises like Rayman. The mobile release of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown marks a significant step in making the franchise more accessible, allowing both new players and long-time fans to enjoy the adventure.

As the release date approaches, excitement is building among the gaming community. With its captivating storyline, enhanced mobile features, and a focus on accessibility, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is poised to make a significant impact in the mobile gaming market. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran of the series or a newcomer, this title promises to deliver an engaging and thrilling experience.
