During a discussion about the case, Busching said Brückner remarked, “She was not screaming.” This statement, which Busching found deeply unsettling, suggested to him that Brückner possessed intimate knowledge of the crime. “I was thinking, yeah, how you know this...yeah he have to do something with this,” Busching explained. “He took Maddie out from this hotel. He is involved, sure.”
Adding to the disturbing portrait, Busching described discovering a cache of violent sexual assault videos in Brückner’s home in 2006, a year before Madeleine vanished. One of the videos, according to Busching, depicted Brückner himself attacking two females. “I saw a woman, she was handcuffed. And some guy in all black,” Busching recalled. When asked if he could identify the man, Busching replied, “The end of the video he was sitting in the end of the bed. He was so hot, sweating, and he takes a mask off. It was Christian Brückner. 100%.”

To let him go as a free man. I don’t understand this... Now I know there will come out a really dangerous man,” he lamented. “I don’t have any more confidence in the German justice.
