Accompanied by family members—including his daughter, son, and daughter-in-law—along with some friends, the President explored several notable sites. His first stop was the famous church of Gesù Nuovo, located at Piazza del Gesù. Following his visit to the church, Mattarella made his way to the cloister adorned with colorful majolica tiles at the Basilica of Santa Chiara. Mattarella spent time between 4 PM and 5:30 PM at the museum, particularly captivated by the extensive collection of Neapolitan nativity scenes (presepi) and significant paintings by renowned artists such as Guido Reni and Spagnoletto, located within the Church of San Martino.
