In another part of Barito Timur, Kapolres Barito Timur AKBP Eddy Santoso was actively involved in addressing the recent flooding that affected the Kecamatan Paju Epat region, particularly in Desa Tampu Langit. During his visit on the same day, he not only assessed the situation but also distributed food packages and provided free medical treatment to those impacted by the flood.
AKBP Eddy Santoso reported that the water levels in the area were rising, having already flooded some terraces and entered several homes. According to the police's data, 17 houses were affected, and the roads in RT 01 and RT 04 were also submerged. Fortunately, there were no casualties, evacuations, or significant material losses reported, and community activities continued as normal.
"The current condition shows that the water level continues to rise, flooding some terraces and entering residents' homes," stated Kapolres Eddy Santoso, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by the community.
