Poland And Lithuania Set For National Table Tennis Championships

The two countries are ready to showcase their top talents in thrilling table tennis tournaments this March.

This week, Poland and Lithuania are set to host their respective national table tennis championships, showcasing some of the best talents from both nations. The Polish Championship, taking place in Białystok, runs from March 21 to 23, 2025, at the sports hall of Primary School No. 50. Meanwhile, Druskininkai, Lithuania will welcome players from March 21 to 22, featuring a robust lineup of competitors across various events.

The 93rd Polish Table Tennis Championships will host a total of 96 players, comprised of 48 men and 48 women, competing in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles categories. Defending champions Samuel KULCZYCKI and Katarzyna WĘGRZYN aim to retain their singles titles while Jakub DYJAS and Patryk LEWANDOWSKI, the reigning men’s doubles champions, will look to deliver another strong performance. In the women’s doubles, Agata ZAKRZEWSKA and Martyna LIS secured a victory last year and will be seeking to replicate that success.

Adding to the excitement is Miłosz REDZIMSKI, who holds the title of the highest-ranked player in Poland. Fans are eager to see how he performs in this highly competitive environment. Known for his exceptional skill and determination, REDZIMSKI is undoubtedly a favorite for the national championship title.

The event will wrap up on Sunday, March 23, with the semifinals of both singles categories, mixed doubles finals, and concluding with the singles finals and an award ceremony.

Television coverage of the finals will be broadcast from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM on the final day, allowing fans who cannot attend the event live to engage with the thrilling action from home.

Meanwhile, over in Lithuania, the National Table Tennis Championship is gearing up for an exciting two days in Druskininkai, featuring 32 men and 32 women vying for national honors. The tournament will cover individual, men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles events, tapping into the depth of talent within Lithuania’s table tennis community.

Defending champions Kęstutis ŽEIMYS and Kornelija RILIŠKYTĖ will return to compete as favorites, given their impressive performances in the previous championship. Fans will be keen to see if they can fend off challengers and claim the title for another season.

The tournament will kick off on March 21 with the men’s group draw at 10:30 AM, followed by the men’s first round starting at 11:00 AM. After a lunch break, the women’s group draw is scheduled for 2:30 PM, leading to an opening ceremony at 2:45 PM, maximizing the day’s events.

As the day progresses, matches will include the first and second rounds of both men’s and women’s tournaments, with third-round action beginning at 5:00 PM. The excitement continues the next day on March 22, where placement matches and semifinals are planned, wrapping up with finals for both men’s and women’s tournaments.

The awards ceremony on March 22 at 6:15 PM will offer recognition for all outstanding players during the tournament, celebrating the talent and effort shown by participants.
